Time for a lovely wedding this morning, don’t you think? I’m so delighted to be able to share Rebecca and Andy’s Cambridge wedding on the blog with you this morning – they styled their day with a personal twist on traditions and the result is timeless and beautiful. Stunning bride Rebecca really rocks her Candy Anthony wedding dress, Andy looks fab in his slim fit suit from Jack Bunneys, and the bridesmaids look fantastic in dresses by Vivien of Holloway!

Were you pleased with your wedding photographer?

From the moment we met with Sam and Louise we knew they would be our wedding photographers. They were such a lovely couple and their style was exactly what we were looking for. They were the first photographers we met and decided we didn’t need to see any others.

Hollie and Tim’s wedding is adorable! I can imagine being there… so much to see, so many gorgeous little details and quirky countryside touches. They had a September wedding at Hellens Manor, a historic country home with the most magical gardens and a charming barn for wedding receptions. There are dozens of images to share with you – I love the lanterns and every little thing just looks amazing… not to mention the most gorgeous bride and handsome groom!

Lovely wedding photographer Amy (Amy Taylor Imaging Photography) emailed and told me “fab bride Hollie worked so hard putting together her country vintage look, right down to hand frosting all the jam jar lamps herself after collecting from friends and family all year to get enough! They are a cracking couple whose wedding day was so much fun it would be lovely to share 🙂

Oh my word… I just love Philippa and Andrew’s ballroom wedding. Today’s star bride on the English Wedding Blog is a modern day Audrey Hepburn – Philippa is stunning. And as a make up artist specialising in wedding make up, she’s shared her secrets for the perfect bridal look as part of her wedding report, at the end of the blog today! Thank you, lovely lady!

Wedding venue:

Mandarin Oriental, Knightsbridge, London. A countryside wedding was our original plan, however this was proving difficult because at the time we had 200 guests to invite.  We didn’t want to go to a beautiful countryside manor and have to use a marquee – what’s the point of going to a stunning location to be put in a marquee and have to spend thousands dressing it?  So we decided that interior was key and the Mandarin Oriental was the perfect answer.  We had the best of both worlds, a beautiful ballroom with Hyde Park literally on your door step.

Morning! I’m typing delicately this morning with a little plaster on my finger – I have an actual blogging injury from too much typing hehe!! But it won’t stop me bringing you today’s beautiful Northamptonshire wedding courtesy of another very beautiful bride, the lovely Kirsty and her gorgeous groom Matt. Their wedding at Pipewell Hall is full of ideas, lovingly crafted and as Kirsty herself will tell you, a dream wedding brought to life!

Today’s beautiful bride Sophie has given me some of the best quotes to use on the blog – and this is an all time favourite. The best thing about being married? The feeling of completeness, being absolute in the knowledge that you love one another unconditionally and that you are fully committed towards each other regardless of what life may throw at you.

English country vintage wedding by Paul J Andrews Photography (1)

Wonderful words and a heart-warming perspective – today’s wedding just happens to be deliciously pretty as well as meltingly romantic. I know you’ll love it as much as I do. This is a fabulous English country vintage wedding with oodles of inspiration and DIY ideas. Shilstone House even tried to buy Sophie’s handmade bunting after the big day… but the happy couple are keeping it for other family occasions (and what a lovely memory to have!) – that’s how lovely they made their day look!

Good morning everyone, I hope you’re all safe and my heart goes out to those of you affected by flooding today. We had some of the worst gales here yesterday, but it’s much calmer now here on the west coast. Now – if you haven’t seen me sneak peeking this wedding on the English Wedding facebook page, where’ve you been?! I’ve struggled to hold back on sharing all the beautiful images and ideas with you.

Clare and Ian are just incredible. Their wedding is breathtaking! The rustic styling is beautiful and colourful, with gorgeous DIY touches throughout. Clare looks stunning and Ian and all the guys look great in sand coloured suits – perfect for the rustic theme. There are so many gorgeous things to watch out for, I think you should grab a cuppa and at least one biscuit and settle down to enjoy this one properly.

Today’s beautiful bride is Jessica, world traveller and blogger, and now wife of the very handsome Johannes! Their Kent wedding is full of vintage travel ideas – with a world map table plan, paper flowers made out of map pages and more. Johannes even wears a bow tie made from map printed fabric!

I love how this wedding is so personal to the couple. They’re really styled the day around their lives and loves – and have also embraced Englishness by marrying in a historic brewery. I will be raising a glass or two to you both this weekend! Congratulations, and thank you for sharing your wedding and story on the English Wedding Blog today. Thank you also to photographer Chris Orange for sharing the images of the wedding day. Everyone – enjoy!

Good morning! I have a lovely intimate London wedding blog to share with you this morning, with a gorgeous bride and groom and the most elegant and classy details. Today’s bride and groom chose The Tab Centre in Shoreditch as their venue and lovely Anne Schwarz as their wedding photographer.

intimate wedding Anne Schwarz (1)

I wish I had even a fingertipful of this couple’s graceful style. Their day just looks effortlessly beautiful and timeless. The bride and groom really do look the part – she wears an exquisite white dress by French designer Delphine Manivet and a beautiful hair accessory by Jenny Packham. He wears a Dries Van Noten suit and Ferragamo shoes.

intimate wedding Anne Schwarz (4)

Flowers are classic white anemones, daisies and eucalyptus. Menus are simple white cards with printed texts. Place names are lovely white tent-folds, handwritten. I love the thick white candles along the tables, the simple chairs without fussy covers, and the tall arched ceiling at The Tab Centre.

Some weddings just have that special extra little bit of magic. Sometimes it’s in the images, or in the stories my brides and grooms tell me. Other times there’s a gorgeous detail which wins me over, something I’ve never seen before or a special touch which is really personal to the bride and groom. Sometimes it’s just everything. Claire and Jim have everything… their relaxed and intimate wedding in Dorset has an amazing atmosphere, and just looks wonderful. I know you’ll love it!

I loved my cousin’s wedding at Hassop Hall in Derbyshire – it was a beautiful celebration, Jenny looked amazing and Charlie every bit the English gent – a wedding I’ll never forget. I’ve been waiting for years for someone to send me another Hassop Hall wedding to feature on the blog, and finally – at last! it’s happened. Today I bring you the most beautiful English countryside wedding courtesy of gorgeous bride and groom Sally and Richard.

English countryside wedding blog Shaun Taylor (1)

I love this wedding for so many reasons – Hassop Hall is just an incredible venue in rural Derbyshire and I absolutely fell in love with the place. Sally and Richard are a fun, creative and fabulous-looking couple, and they made their wedding day really personal with lots of details from little homemade pots of jam with labels, to photo frame table numbers – which are brilliant! and then the “Welsh Bob Marley and an air hostess cake topper”… it’s genius. I love it!

Happy new week everybody! How was your weekend? I’ve been to see my teeny tiny baby nephew in the beautiful city of Durham – I’m missing him (and my wonderful sister) already! But there are no post-weekend blues here at English Wedding Blog towers, oh no! For starters I have some lovely calligraphy projects to be doing for Christmas, and I also have a lovely wedding to share with you on this chilly Monday morning. Ruth and Anthony’s English country pub wedding will raise a smile – I hope you like it!

English country pub wedding blog Jeff Turnbull (1)

I love the details of their day, and the fact this lovely couple just never stop smiling! They had some gorgeous details – the flowers provided by the venue, which was The Compasses gastropub at Pattiswick, Essex, also the campervan wedding favours, the fingerprint tree, and too many more details to mention here… so I’ll hand over to wedding photographer Jeff Turnbull to show you! All the images are by Jeff, and the beautiful bride and groom have shared their wedding story with you today too – you’ll find it at the end of the feature. I hope you love it! Have a lovely Monday everyone!

I swear I feel a little warmer just scrolling through the images of today’s gorgeous real wedding… it’s the daisies in Marianna’s bouquet. Or maybe it’s the little fluffy clouds in the sky above the tipis. Perhaps it’s the burlap and bunting, or the almost overwhelming flowers around The Anchor Inn. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but this beautiful English midsummer wedding is making me feel all warm and fluffy inside, for sure!

English midsummer wedding in Sussex Helen Catton (1)

You’ll adore both Howard and of course Marianna – she’s stunning. Her dress by Tobi Hannah is out of this world – as their wedding photographer Helen Catton told me, “Marianna’s dress was stunning in it’s simplicity and suited her beautifully, it moved like liquid and was very elegant… their wedding was really amazing with lots of lovely little touches.”
