I always like to pick out my favourite few photos to show you first – it’s a great way to set the scene for a gorgeous wedding blog feature, and I always love scrolling through a wedding, looking out for those amazing, eye-catching, breathtakingly beautiful moments to share with you. However… I tried it today, and within moments I had a list of a dozen STUNNING moments from Dale and Charmaine’s day. Safe to say this is a knockout, and I love every. single. pic.
It’s gorgeous Jess and Rich’s eclectic style which makes this London wedding so deliciously different and captivating. Their theme emerged as a heady mixture of romantic, prohibition, art deco and industrial… and their wedding is one of my favourite blog posts of the year already! With flowers by Rebel Rebel, a Charlie Brear gown and photos by Paul Rogers, you’ll LOVE Jess and Rich’s wedding style!
Today’s wedding is sublime. It’s timeless, sophisticated, and fuses contemporary styling with inspired nods to history and old English grandeur. Look closely for the tap shoes, admire the fabulous stationery (by my friends at Noble Fine Art), and join me in falling head over heels for this stunning Castle Howard wedding.
“Castle Howard has the most beautiful exterior and interior. We had candelabras up the grand staircase and candelabras along the three long tables in the Long Gallery, not very often done at Castle Howard (where there are usually round tables).
Aaron and Sarah’s wedding has wow factor: the locations around Consall Hall are simply breathtaking. Those trees... really, these are some of my favourite wedding pics so far this year. I love their day for its simplicity, rustic appeal and romance – and the beautiful bride and groom are just made for each other.
“We chose a vintage/rustic theme as Aaron proposed after an afternoon tea (which we then chose to have as a wedding breakfast), and because we love the informal/relaxed style. We did a lot of the preparation ourselves, we made all of the stationery including invitations (huge saving!), and we kept things simple.”
It’s really important to me to feature REAL weddings on the English Wedding Blog. For me, that means not importing the most lavish or unusual weddings from overseas photographers, but sharing UK weddings from my photographer friends. And Anna and Dale’s wedding strikes me as one which is elegant, timeless and uniquely English in flavour. They’re gorgeous; their day is simply styled and looks lovely, and I love their images too!
