Hello everyone! I find myself captivated by today’s wedding… as I’ve been scrolling through the beautiful images of Kirsty-Anne and James’s London wedding this morning I’ve welled up a little – this is an incredible story.

Wedding in London MCB weddings Martin Beddall (1)

But I can’t resist introducing this wedding in a different way: there is a wonderful sequence of images showing Kirsty-Anne’s pretty flower girl whose excitement is the most amazing thing to see!

This of course is a beautiful wedding from beginning to end: Kirsty-Anne and James make a stunning couple; the dress is divine; the venues magnificent. Documentary wedding photographer Martin Beddall captures the emotion of this London wedding and his images have put me in such a romantic mood this morning!

Kirsty-Anne was run over just six months before her wedding day and her recovery gives us real perspective on what’s important here: love, marriage and the celebration of two people committing to sharing a life together. With my thanks to Martin Beddall for the images and to Kirsty-Anne and James for sharing their story. This is beautiful. Enjoy.

As Tom’s voice breaks at the very end of this moving, magical and emotional wedding film, you’ll cry. I did. And then the second time I watched it I cried again. This is love as the most pure and all-encompassing emotion two people can feel. Enjoy the beautiful wedding film by Allora Visuals.

Oh, don’t worry – there’s more to today’s English Wedding Blog post than a first dance photo… but this one had to come first: how captivating and romantic a moment and an image is this?! You’re going to love this Durham Castle Wedding, I promise!

Durham Castle wedding photos Holden Jones (25)
With every wedding I blog, I ask the couple to share their favourite moments from the day. Their responses are what sets each wedding apart. Jenn’s reply stopped me in my tracks:

“Sitting at the top table with my new husband, looking around at all the people who mean most to us & feeling full up with love.”

This is what weddings are all about. Not the details, not the planning, not the dress or the readings or even the ring. The love. I hope you’ll enjoy today’s blog post for what it’s truly about: volumes of love which sing higher than anything else you’ll see today.

With photographs by Holden & Jones, and a fantastic wedding report by gorgeous couple Chrissy and Jenn. Enjoy! (I know you will!)

But do go and check out Simon’s St Audries Park weddings on his website. wedding photography by Chris Hanley (13)Katie’s wedding report captures the romance of her wedding to Chris in December. She told me about being whisked off with her new husband for some special wedding photos: “It felt so romantic – as if we were in a love scene from a movie”!

I just can’t decide if the movie I’m seeing in these beautiful wedding photos is James Bond, Narnia or a vintage Hollywood treasure… perhaps a magical balance of all three. Regardless: the screenplay is magnificent, the stars are every director’s dream – and the story a timeless romance to play on your heartstrings.wedding photography by Chris Hanley (1)The very beautiful Katie and Chris were married at Margam Park Orangery – a wedding venue with a rich history and one of the most prestigious in Wales. The architecture is a deliciously extravagant backdrop for outstanding wedding photography – a backdrop Katie and Chris look born to enjoy.

There are details in this most incredible winter wedding which will inspire you: crystals glisten and snowflakes sparkle; Katie’s delectable vintage bouquet of brooches and crystals, flowers and twinkling accessories is simply out of this world – and she made it herself!

Temple Gregory real wedding in Hampshire (30)
This morning my little typing fingers have been sat quietly – I was stuck! Where to start with this gorgeous Hampshire wedding day… the breathtaking wedding photography by Elton Mogg (staircase… flowers…) or beautiful bride Hayley (swirling around in her dress with all the bridesmaids – magic!) – the elegance of the wedding venue (Rivervale Barn) or maybe the wedding dress itself (a wonderfully girly, swishy beautiful Sassi Holford gown).

Temple Gregory real wedding in Hampshire (40)Beckie Gregory – the lovely lady behind Temple Gregory wedding planners in London and Hampshire – showed me some of the photos from Hayley and David’s wedding late last year – and I loved them. This is like supreme glamour in weddings: the most exquisite, luxurious, beautiful everything you can see on a wedding blog.

wedding blog by Brett Symes (25)Anthea and Nimish had a perfectly elegant, wonderfully stylish wedding at Dartmouth House in London. An exclusive wedding venue for a couple whose calm, sophisticated personalities fit beautifully with the luxurious surroundings.

I will always believe that weddings should be ‘you’ in that they are a celebration of your own style and personality – and whether your wedding’s held in a tipi or a mansion, you should feel at home. Anthea and Nimish fit this venue like a glove. The wedding photographs by Brett Symes Photography exude the same elegance and style.

I had several fittings with Christine and each time, Christine was an oasis of calm professionalism, exactly what I needed!
