Today’s wedding is wonderfully sunny and warm, beautifully styled and sooo romantic – it’s absolutely wonderful and I’ve been so excited to share this with you! Gorgeous couple Amy and Niall were married in Somerset, and styled their day around their backgrounds: as Amy is from Yorkshire and Niall is from Wales they incorporated both of these into their day.

They chose the tythe barn at Priston Mill as their wedding venue, and our lovely friend Priston Mill wedding photographer Martin Dabek to capture their day. So grab a cuppa and join us as we enjoy scrolling through the beautiful photographs of this rustic, relaxed, natural wedding day, full of love and laughter!

Hey lovelies! Welcome to Monday… and to a fabulous festival wedding in June at Northside Farm, Northumberland. This is a beautiful barn venue with glamping huts & tipis for brides, grooms and guests can stay in. Gorgeous bride Laura and dapper hubby Daryl enjoy their festivals, and with TONS of wonderful handcrafting. Laura worked on her wedding stationery almost every night for a YEAR! She also learned how to crochet so she could make blankets for her guest in case they got cold in the evening! Laura describes their wedding as “3 days of pure joy and happiness” – and it shows in the pics. I hope you love all these ideas as much as I do!

You can’t beat a wedding with a really fun story. Lovely Jade and Carl invited all of their guests to their children’s christening – and surprised them with an extra: they got MARRIED!! It makes the photos of the beginning of the day even more special, knowing that for most of the guests, the whole thing was a secret surprise!

Jade and Carl surprised their christening guests with a WEDDING! Images by Anoif Photography on English-Wedding.com (8)

Images are by lovely Fiona at Anoif Photography, who gets a fabulous review from Jade and Carl in their interview (at the end of the blog post). Photography was the couple’s biggest spend, and one they’re very glad of – for while this was very much a DIY wedding on a budget, the images will last a lifetime and I love the piece of family history they’ve captured for our lovely bride and groom!

Have you ever wondered how wedding planners and stylists get married? Me too! Today I’m thrilled to say we have all the answers, as lovely Lauren and David are sharing their stunning Wiltshire wedding on the English Wedding blog today. Lauren is the owner of Lauren Alexander Weddings – she’s also an English Wedding reader and has shared some fantastic tips with us in a brilliant interview (which carries on beneath all of the beautiful photographs). Lauren and David describe their day as, “Fun, boozy, eclectic, beautiful, happy, musical and ‘us’.” – which is, for me, everything the perfect wedding could ever need. There are stunning styling touches as well – plenty of DIY ideas and the FUNNEST and most gorgeous wedding shoes! I just know you’ll love this! Over to Lauren…

A fabulous tipi celebration in the height of summer. A gorgeous, relaxed and head-over-heels in love couple. Rustic styling, tons of florals, vibrant colours and a party atmosphere. It really doesn’t get much better than this! Howard and Rowena’s wedding venue was the village field in Iwerne Minster, the village where Rowena’s mother lives. By day the field is a football pitch and on a sunny day in August it was transformed with the addition of tipis into their wedding venue! I hope you love this one as much as I do. Huge thanks to Rowena and Howard, and to our fabulous friend and Dorset wedding photographer Robin Goodlad Photography. Do read the groom’s interview below – the story of their day is fantastic!
