Hey lovelies! How are you all this beautiful Thursday morning? I’m already planning the blog for August – it’s a crazy busy summer of weddings which is wonderful 🙂 If there are any photographers out there who’d love to see their favourite summer weddings on the blog, do get in touch! I also have a handful of sponsor slots available from today, which I’m offering a lovely saving on – so pop me an email over if you’d like to know more (firstname.lastname@example.org) But most importantly – Amy and Mark. These two are just gorgeous, and their day is full of individuality and character – it’s just perfect. Images are by lovely English Wedding sponsor and Hertfordshire wedding photographer Becky Harley – and they’re outstanding. Becky gets a glowing review from our happy couple, who have shared all the details of their day with us here. I hope you love this one as much as I do!
Happy June! Where did May go… is it just me or is 2018 flying by?! I’m delighted to be sharing a wedding from one of our exclusive little team of sponsors on the blog today – lovely Birmingham wedding photographer Clive Blair. Clive’s a documentary-styled wedding photographer, based in Birmingham and working throughout the UK and abroad for couples who want a relaxed and informal style of wedding photography. We think he’s fab!
James and Lizzie married at Bordesley Park Farm in Beoley Vale, Worcestershire – an exclusive wedding venue surrounded by 500 acres of beautiful countryside giving the perfect backdrop for a wonderful wedding. The weather was gloriously sunny from beginning to end – and Clive’s golden hour shots of the happy couple are just breathtaking!
I love the atmosphere of this wedding – the love and especially the laughter and enjoyment comes across so strongly in Rianna and Will’s images – it’s all just gorgeous and totally captivating. This wedding was sent in by James Richard Photography – we think he’s amazing!
This is a wedding with more of a personal touch than so many – yes, Rianna & Will made individual potted succulent wedding favours for their 100 guests, but as lovely as that is, there’s more. The wedding dress was made and designed by Rianna and her mum. It’s wonderfully pretty, a perfect fit – and the loveliest and most meaningful thing I think I’ve ever seen since the English Wedding Blog was born.
Handcrafted styling touches and dried flowers bring an already characterful old barn to life in this fabulously creative Essex wedding. I adore Hayley’s vintage style tea dress with pretty lace… she looks stunning! Check out the bouquets… handmade paper roses made of newspaper with delicate babies breath all around – they’re so different and pretty!
I enjoy crafts and sewing as a hobby already and as we had a 2 year engagement, I was able to make a lot of things myself. I’m a big Harry Potter nerd and my husband loves Terry Pratchett books so I incorporated book pages into a lot of things; the seating plan, bunting, confetti to sprinkle on the tables and I made paper roses and turned them into my bouquets and boutonnieres.
Summer bank holidays are the BEST!! Whatever your plans for the day, enjoy. Relax, have summer drinks in the garden, smile and laugh and be happy. That’s my plan too! And allow me to bring a happy smile to your beautiful face with this gorgeous summer marquee wedding in Cheshire.
Sarah and Simon’s day is truly personal, informal and fun. Their focus was on friends and family, on celebrating and having the most amazing day ever – and they nailed it! The joy on everyone’s faces is just making me smile so much today! The styling touches are lovely, with a definite summer garden botanical feel to everything. I adore the herbs on place settings, the little tags, home made alcoholic favour bottles, terracotta pots on tables and the bold colour palette of blues and purples.
