Lovelies, I hope you’re ready for a truly amazing Christmas. This year has been wonderful for the English Wedding Blog – I’ve met and worked alongside some incredible people, and we’ve featured the most stunning weddings… you can still find them all by navigating the menu at the top of this page. So as we snuggle into our Christmas pyjamas, crack open a crate of mulled wine and sprinkle ourselves with glitter here at English Wedding Blog HQ, I wanted to leave you with one last wedding before the holidays begin… and it’s a stunning, gracefully festive, delicately sparkly celebration you will LOVE!! Louise looks incredible – the entire day just makes me smile, it’s so beautiful. Happy Christmas everyone!
A bouquet doesn’t have to be ‘just flowers’. The bouquets I love most are full of foliage, textures, berries… And a bouquet which is seasonal is the loveliest of all. In the colder months that means silvery leaves, delicate white berries, seedheads and a few choice blooms… Agnieszka’s is one of the loveliest autumn bouquets I’ve seen. And isn’t she a beautiful bride?
Today’s wedding also surprised me with the knowledge that the army has a motorbike display team, who ride vintage bikes and perform stunts at shows around the country! (Check out the bus!) – and while he didn’t bring his bike, groom Simon looks fab in true military style.
Wow!!! Today’s is a wedding which will grab your attention instantly! I absolutely loved the daytime portraits of Alice and James, and then the evening light transformed this day into something incredibly, unbelievably beautiful.
We got married and had the reception at The Old Hall in Ely just outside of Cambridge. It’s a beautiful venue and we got married in their gazebo overlooking a lake and Ely cathedral.
I love today’s wonderful winter wedding – I know you’ll adore the bouquets, and bride Hayley looks absolutely gorgeous. Also – they hired a Jag for the whole week? Genius!! I love that!
I had the stereotypical crying-in-front-of-the-mirror experience when I found my dress! I had gone in with a very set vision of what I wanted, but then Lauren the sales assistant suggested something totally different. I was feeling open minded so tried it on, and ended up buying that dress.
Tis the season (as they say) for cosy snuggles and warm fires… and for staying indoors on those long evenings in the company of friends and loved ones. And I guess this applies just as much to weddings as it does to winter evenings at home. For Deborah and Mark, their winter wedding meant choosing the right venue was paramount. And boy, did they get it right…
Huntsham Court is wonderful. It’s an exclusive use, country house venue with 34 bedrooms and a super flexible approach to weddings. For today’s bride and groom it meant they could spend the whole weekend there along with friends and family – Huntsham is the loveliest home from home you could ever imagine.
