Gorgeous newlyweds Fiona and Ashley’s spring wedding from Stratton Court Barn is just fabulous – they used rich purple tones to create a luxe, sophisticated wedding theme and chose a venue with oodles of cosy character which needed just a few creative touches to bring it to life. With a canopy of fairy lights and pretty floral styling, this is a lovely wedding I’ve been excited to share with you! Images are by our lovely team member Carol Elizabeth Photography, who is based in Oxfordshire and gets a glowing review from the happy couple!

I am totally in denial of any gales blowing a hoolie outside my window right now!! Come and join me because it’s SPRING here on English Wedding and we’re filling our eyes with sunshine and flowers… and the stunning wedding of Milly and Nick. They married at Little Glemham Church in Suffolk, and celebrated with a beautiful reception at  Glemham Hall in May. Their day was traditional and relaxed, with wild white English flowers and luscious greenery in keeping with the Suffolk hedgerows and pebble greys as they were so close to the sea!

Happy Monday everyone! How was your weekend? I’ve had a 4 day extravaganza of a weekend with a concert on Thursday, shopping day Friday, calligraphy class on Saturday and 2 mountains climbed on Sunday! I barely know what day it is with all that going on, so it’s nice to be sat at my desk now with Bertie cat, where we have a fabulous wedding up our sleeves to share with you lovely folks out there in internet land.

Hey lovely! Happy FRIDAY!!! I’m totally feeling Friday vibes today – last night we were partying until the early hours in Manchester; this morning we’ve had a little shop in the big city, ready for my sister in law’s WEDDING at the end of the month. SOOOO exciting!!! So every wedding I see on my screen right now is totally capturing my heart. Tomorrow afternoon I’m teaching a modern calligraphy class in the Lakes – tickets are still available here if you can join us! – but first, I have an absolute gem of a wedding for you – you’re going to adore this.

There’s something about today’s beautiful wedding which captures the essence of the English countryside so perfectly… it’s in beautiful Dorset, with a quaint church (St Marks, in Talbot Village) and a lovely reception with the prettiest details – paper fans on the wall in shades of gold, and adorable little commemorative pins for all the guests!

Camila is absolutely stunning; Victor looks gorgeous. The love these two share is captured perfectly in the images by our friends at Linus Moran Photography, who are based in Dorset, close enough to the Kings Arms Christchurch to be regular photographers there – and who come highly recommended for their beautiful documentary wedding photography as well as their professionalism and friendliness.
