Love is a lightness of heart, a happiness beyond any words to describe its beauty. This dreamy, romantic picture from Maddy and Adam’s winter wedding captures its essence in every glorious pixel.

I’m known for being a little odd… and I’m a country girl born and bred, an artist at heart. This kind of beauty takes my breath away:

Black and white wedding photography only occasionally makes an appearance on blogs – and I’d love to see more. The beautiful contrast, the striking effect all make this photograph (from Michelle & Rob’s Yorkshire wedding to be published on Mother’s Day) one of my favourites, ever.

I’m in love with the tree, too. What? It’s timeless, strong, beautiful… and makes for a spectacular wedding picture!

How many moments of pure joy happen in a single wedding day? Too many to count, or imagine, or dream of, or remember? Weddings are days filled with blissful seconds of laughter, love and happiness. Like this.

More than a garter, more than a sapphire, more than anything blue any bride has ever carried: I hope my own something blue will be the sea. Because I think it’s the most beautiful thing…

Every day this week I’ve been for a lunchtime walk by the beach. Being outside – even feeling sunshine on my face – lifts my heart. It’s kind of amazing that a photograph can do the exact same thing. This is Jo & Sam photographed on their wedding day at Elvey Farm in Kent.

Choosing a photo of the week this week was super hard: so many wedding photographers have been sharing their best bits from 2015, and the internet is blindingly beautiful as a result. But one shone through for its firm grounding in time and place: the blossom shows the season, the sign indicates location, and then the backdrop and gorgeous bride and groom.

Something tells me this setting will remain for years, decades even, and maybe it’s been there for years already, changing only with the seasons.

Yay! We all survived the first week back at work… and it’s time for a well-deserved restful weekend 🙂 But first, this week’s wedding photo of the week. A beautiful smile is all it takes to brighten my week, and Emily’s smile for her husband speaks of pure happiness in this pic!

Not always, but most times – a bride finds ‘The One’. That dream dress which fits her very soul. Sarah’s One is worthy of the spotlight in this divine wedding photo of the week. The image has everything: it encapsulates the beauty of a bride on her wedding day. Wow.
