Happy Sunday lovelies! Does anyone have sunshine this morning? It’s peeking through the clouds as I write… there’s nothing lovelier than driving back to the Lakes and seeing the sun on the mountains 🙂 Oh! Apart from Kayleigh and Dan’s wedding on the blog today of course! They were so lucky with the weather for their outdoor wedding in beautiful woodlands at Bodenham Arboretum. Their humanist ceremony was touching, beautiful and intimate: they invited friends and family who they see often and will see after the wedding, rather than feeling pressured to invite people they don’t know well – and for me this always makes a wedding much more relaxed and happy.
Happy Saturday everyone! I’m off adventuring today in Edinburgh – we have a bit of a crazy weekend ahead, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have an AMAZING wedding to share with you this morning as well. First though, I have to tell you about my next calligraphy workshop. This one will be on a Saturday afternoon in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, perfect for anyone (else!) who’d like to spend a girly day hitting the shops, learning calligraphy, then dancing the night away in my fave city. The date is May 26th, and you can book places in my Etsy shop now. I’d love to see you there!
If somebody could just randomly invite me to a wedding at The Matara Centre I would be so very happy! This place though… the water, the flowers, the atmosphere always looks sensational. Gorgeous bride Catherine looks amazing in her Victoria Jane gown (bought from Krystle Brides), which she wears with a satin edged veil and pearl accessories and Jonni is a very handsome groom in his 3 piece Ted Baker suit. Images are by fabulous Cotswolds wedding photographer Martin Dabek.
Amy and Paul were lucky enough to be married in an English vineyard – it was a gorgeous summer day and the vineyard was the perfect outdoor setting for such a relaxed and informal celebration. Everything was very simply styled but the simplicity made everything look all the more elegant, don’t you think? West Street Vineyard is in the Essex countryside in Coggeshall with ceremonies literally amongst the vines. The sunset was incredible for our beautiful bride and groom, so do make sure you scroll all the way down to see every last gorgeous shot of their day!
I hope you fall in love with today’s wedding! The florals were one thing which I fell in love as soon as I saw gorgeous bride Lorna and hubby Ryan’s beautiful images – the signage is fab (best use of an old pallet, ever!) – and the venue is spectacular. (Check out those shots taken from a distance, within Leez Priory’s breathtaking gardens – Lorna told me that was an amazing part of their day.)
