Today you get to see one of the loveliest weddings to grace my inbox this year. The ideas are wonderful; the craftsmanship fabulous on so many levels. Gorgeous bride Emma made her own dress and corset – she looks amazing and I love her style! I love the flowers, the way the venue looks, the bar(!) – how cool does that look?! – and Peter and Emma are just perfect together.

Peter designed all our wedding stationery using the Adobe Creative Suite then had it printed through Printed.com. He did a fantastic job, it was very personal to us and very reasonably priced.

You can win my heart a million times with beautiful lettering… and this is amazing!!! I’m head over heels in love with today’s wedding – it’s gorgeous, I love all the writing! The flowers are so pretty – the cake is perfect! And Jas & Will are so good together – their portraits are super sweet! Love this to bits 🙂

“We didn’t really have a theme, everything was very ‘us’. I suppose, understated, elegant, natural, romantic.

This is an absolutely perfect blog post – the flowers are so vibrant and colourful, and the mossy details are fab. I adore the fireplace, so full of colour – and the portraits of beautiful bride Hannah & her new husband Matt outside Woodhall Spa Manor are wonderful.

Our flowers were multi coloured and summery – truly breath taking – they were by Flowers by Suzanne. I added a few personal touches of my own creation, including a timeline of the day on an old mirror painted with chalk paint (borrowed from my cousin’s wedding) and a fingerprint tree guest book I made from an online template. I absolutely loved putting these few things together; luckily I am a teacher so had a few weeks before the wedding in the holidays to do all of this.

Those of you who’ve spent any time at all on the English Wedding Blog will know me for my love of letters. I spend my days writing calligraphy, and teaching the art of beautiful lettering to brides and creative folks at my Manchester workshops. Words are most definitely my thing. (Oh! I’m teaching the last class of the year on the 18th of November. You can book here)

Today’s real wedding, my gorgeous blog-loving friends, is spectacular. If there was a bigger word for spectacular which included amazing, beautiful, creative, artisan, and elegant, I’d be using that word. But sometimes… beauty is too big for any word. Here’s our stunning bride, Jessica. She looks incredible, doesn’t she?!

Jessica married Matthew at one of our favourite venues, the fabulous Launcells Barton in Cornwall.

Newly launched as a wedding venue, it’s fast becoming a wedding blog favourite (with features on Rock My Wedding, Boho Weddings and of course the English Wedding Blog).
