I know so many of you will be having a wedding weekend this summer – it’s THE biggest trend in weddings this year, and a fabulous way to squeeze in a little more precious time with your nearest and dearest. So I am excited to be (virtually) spending this weekend in the company of gorgeous couple Hannah and Alex, who were married at Great Fosters in Surrey and celebrated over two amazing August days. Their wedding weekend is beautifully captured by our fabulous friends and Essex wedding photographers Amanda Karen Photography.

Hello – I’m so happy to be with you today! Thank you, Claire for inviting me along to talk about a really important element of wedding planning – choosing suppliers. However, what follows probably isn’t what you might expect. This isn’t going to be a checklist full of reminders to ask for references and to check social media feeds. Oh no, I’m about to explain why choosing suppliers is really a whole lot more personal than that.

This week has just flown by! I hope you’ve had a lovely one and are all ready for the weekend. Before we kick off our work gear I have one more wedding to share with you (and watch out for some fabulous advice features over the weekend too!). Today we join gorgeous couple Sarah & Alex for their Essex wedding at St Osyth church with a reception in Alex’s grandmother’s back garden! The bouquet by Miss Fleur Floral Design will make you fall-over-swoon and the images are just soooo beautiful! They’re by our lovely friend and English Wedding member Grace Elizabeth, who is based in Colchester.

With only a few hours until Santa comes, I hope you’re kicking back with Christmas TV and a mince pie… and I’d like to say a special hello if you’re not engaged yet… but hoping Santa will bring a very small box with something sparkly and ring-shaped inside!!! Come on in, indulge yourself with me and enjoy some of 2018’s very best English Weddings. So far we’ve seen James & Keye’s festival wedding and Tig & Piers’ glamorous celebration. Today it’s the turn of beautiful Daisy & Will. Theirs was a relaxed family celebration at The Copse, styled by our lovely friend Jenna Hewitt and captured by Craig Williams.

Sometimes I save up my very favourite weddings for the weekend, so we can all spend a little longer browsing through all the gorgeous images and Pinning every stunning detail and idea. Today is one of those days… beautiful Farhaa and Ferd celebrated in style with a fabulously styled and gloriously photographed wedding at Ariana Gardens in Essex. Their photographer was the wonderfully talented Emily Black Photography, who is based in Hampshire. Grab a cuppa, get comfy and enjoy this beautiful Indian wedding with me…. and oh, wouldn’t a slice of this breathtaking cake be perfect right now?!
