Every 6 weeks or so I go on a little road trip with my pens and inks, and spend a couple of hours with lovely brides-to-be and their best girls. My calligraphy workshops get me away from my desk and into the real world – and they’ve become the absolute highlight of my year! Last year I made gift vouchers for Christmas – this year I’ve had them gorgeously copper foiled and they’re the prettiest little things 🙂
Has anyone else noticed their inboxes are full of Christmas suggestions already?! And have you actually started Christmas shopping yet? I have to confess I’m a late bloomer this year… it’s going to be December before I start, I can see it now! I was already in awe of Viki Pearce when I discovered her beautiful wedding rings via the Chosen Wedding Fair. When I asked Viki if we could run a feature so I could show you her work, she sent me the best photos ever. Exquisite shots of her artisan wedding rings, her wall of vintage hammers and – because I love to know who’s behind the beautiful pieces I see – a gorgeous shot of the designer herself, complete with boots I want for me, like now. Hey lovelies! I hope you’re having a wonderful week. I’m spending today making up my little calligraphy workshop packs for Friday – and I’m still getting enquiries about the class. I thought I’d post here to say this week is full (to bursting!) and I’m so sorry I can’t take any more students – but I’d love to book you in for my 6th October workshop, which still has 6 spaces.
Every workshop is for absolute beginners, and covers lettering with a dip pen and nib as well as brush pen lettering. I also bring along my little pop-up shop so you can stock up on inks, nibs and even buy my book on the day!
Hi lovelies! I’ve literally just got back from the most amazing holiday in Switzerland – which I totally recommend! – and I’m thinking about plans for the next few months. I’m so excited to be teaching another modern calligraphy workshop next Friday, which has completely sold out while I’ve been away! We’re going to have the best time, I can’t wait!
