Today’s gorgeous couple married in the summer of 2020, and with covid restrictions limiting their choices they still had the most amazing day – it’s all beautiful. Jess found her dress at Monsoon and fell in love with it; Justin bought his suit online and loved it too – they both look fabulous. This lovely pair kept an eye on sustainability with their wedding: hiring items rather than buying, choosing candle favours from a maker who donates a % of profits to bee conservation, and donating part of their gift money to a local charity kitchen.

This week has FLOWN by! Lovelies, I hope you’ve enjoyed all the beautiful weddings and shoots we’ve shared on the blog this week. Time now for a relaxing weekend and some sunshine… but I want to leave you with something incredibly beautiful. I love everything about Maisie and David’s day – it’s full of fun, love and laughter… and the little details are just stunning (as are our gorgeous bride and groom!) All images by our lovely English Wedding member and Bristol wedding photographer Joab Smith Photography.

Have a lovely weekend,

Discovering little gems of wedding venues around the UK is part of the charm of writing a wedding blog. Mostly, I get to explore the nooks and crannies of beautiful old houses and quirky wedding barns through my screen, when lovely couples and photographers submit their weddings for a feature. Occasionally I get to visit a wedding venue and discover it first-hand, and when those venues are a little too far away from my home in the Lakes I’m lucky to have English Wedding team members dotted around the country who can discover them for me!

Hey lovely! Have you chosen your wedding photographer yet? Perhaps you’re still looking for a photographer whose style has that special something, or maybe you’ll need to search outside of your local area to find someone really unique to capture your day. Then read on… because I’m so excited to be introducing Warren from Howell Jones Photography to English Wedding today. Warren’s images are artistic and creative, thoughtful and emotive – and with every moment so beautifully captured they’re guaranteed to bring a smile to your face and a happy tear to your eye. I’m a big fan – and I’m delighted to be able to share some fabulous images with you today which I think will show you exactly why I think Howell Jones Photography should be on your wedding photographer shortlist – wherever you are in the country!

Soooo….. who’s planning to arrive at their wedding venue in a helicopter then? Nope? Hadn’t crossed your mind? It wouldn’t have been on my list either until today’s rather exciting Cotswolds wedding landed on my screen. But oh – what an adventure, and what memories to have from your wedding day!! Laura and Matt really did create an exceptional wedding, with vibrant florals and a stunning colour palette. The helicopter ride makes their day really unique!! Lucky for us, Upcote Barn wedding photographer Martin Dabek went along for the ride and captured every thrilling moment up in the skies with the bride and her dad on their way to the church!
