How are you coping, lovely? Here at English Wedding HQ it’s all about the stir crazy today… I’m hoping to take 5 mins in the garden for a little sunshine later! In the spirit of keeping things as positive as we possibly can, I have the most amazing floral styling to lift your spirits this Monday. Huge thanks to lovely Fiona Kelly Photography for sending in this gloriously elegant shoot, styled by the very talented Assumpta from Ave Creations, who is here to tell you more.

chic, contemporary London wedding style with amazing florals. Image credit Fiona Kelly Photography (18)

Inspired by London’s character and diversity coupled with {10-11} Carlton House Terrace’s classical style, I sought to design a concept that celebrates chic, contemporary couples who are not adverse to traditionalism.

Working with Fiona Kelly Photography and {10-11} Carlton House Terrace, we wanted to showcase the versatility of the venue and to create a shoot that can serve as inspiration for modern couples who have not only chosen the UK as their home but also the location in which to begin the next chapter of their love story.

Today’s wedding inspiration takes nature’s most beautiful textures and tumbles them together in a beautifully soft cascade of blush and pastels. The simplicity is enchanting; the bridal look is blissfully beautiful. Huge thanks to lovely Beth (I owe you one, sweetie! xx) from Miss Carlysle and Co, who planned and sent in this beauty of a shoot! the glorious images are by Nikki’s Moments. The venue is South Farm and those fabulous florals are by Sara’s Events Flowers.

I will hand over to Beth to tell you more.

Rustic and Blush Barn Style with oodles of countryside charm (7)

We wanted to make the most out of the beautiful, countryside charm at South Farm with the long driveway leading up to the farm and barns. Preferably making the most out of the outside, to create a magical wedding day, and using the Tudor Barn, which has gorgeous, natural features throughout, creating a natural and relaxed vibe. We used the blush palette to add a sense of romance and elegance into the shoot.

An elopement is just what I needed right now. Huge thanks to Laura from The Rustic Dresser for this beauty in my inbox today – a timely reminder that LOVE is what life is all about. Weddings are on hold right now; but these glorious images by Westlake Photography will lift your hearts, I just know they will. I’d love to think the future of weddings looks like this – simple, wild and free, pared back and all the more beautiful for it. Stay safe everyone, stay home for now – and dream of a future that looks like this.

Sunrise elopement shoot! Westlake Photography and the Rustic Dresser (12)

“Nature loving, adventurous souls looking for something free and personal were who we had in mind for this sunrise elopement shoot. Some couples want to have an intimate celebration and we wanted to show you that if you are looking for a magical spot to enhance the moment you say your “I Do’s” then the Dorset coastline is the most perfect place. At first light, there is not a soul around and you literally feel as if you have the world to yourself. The clifftops, dramatic drops and curves of the coast and the sunken sand dunes all provide you with some spectacular backdrops to magnify that incredible moment when you fully open your hearts to each other.

Romantic, French inspired wedding inspiration with masterful florals (36)

Together with Charlotte Wise Photography and Rachel Dalton Weddings, Blooming Haus Floral Engineers embarked on a journey to style a romantic, French inspired photoshoot in a classic British countryside manor setting. Their main goal was to show the quintessence of a light, intimate and passionate wedding celebration.

The overall look for this shoot was subtle, airy and feminine. We took influences from French-inspired styling and our countryside surroundings to create a timeless and effortlessly romantic look.

Continuing with the beautiful escapism of weddings this week… we head to Hooton Pagnell for a sublimely sustainable styled shoot! The early sunshine is a delight; the look is natural, organic and elegant, and the special touches (cake! calligraphy! candles!) are FABULOUS!

Mark Crayden captured the shoot. We all loved his raw and effortless talent to be able to capture emotion, as well as the transitioning season. We were inspired by seasonal flowers, consisting of pretty peachy hues, a Pantone blue pop and with subtle earthy touches. Cut and bulb form was key to Sam of Fantail Designer Florist, whilst the use of moss and eco-friendly techniques were also adopted throughout. No floral foam was used for our inspirational shoot.

The transition between Winter and Spring is something that the team were keen to focus on, as this is often a season that is overlooked. Luckily, the sun shone and we were able to use the beautiful grounds of our venue, Hooton Pagnell Hall (and abundance of glorious sunshine!) to capture the seasonal transitions.

It’s springtime and we have the most wonderfully fresh wedding ideas with the prettiest florals and sublime stationery in delicate pastel shades. With inspiration drawn from the beautiful Georgian architecture at Rownhams House and the writings of Jane Austen of that period, today’s stunning bridal shoot is inspired by the romanticism, splendour and elegance of that era with a quintessentially English yet modern feel.

When Noemi (Thyme Lane Photography) emailed me with this earthily beautiful elopement, she had my heart in a few words: “I just don’t think couples need to spend extreme amounts of money and stress a lot about their day, just have a few pretty details and love each other.”

Yes. That. Exactly that. We share every kind of wedding inspiration on blogs, from luxury weddings to intimate celebrations and elopements (and I’m on the lookout for a micro wedding!) but this – this is what makes me personally smile more than anything in the world. A personal celebration of love, a handful of STUNNING images, and some simple, ethical, wonderful details. It’s all you need. I will hand over to lovely Noemi to tell you more!

Lovely Charan from Ivory Events & Weddings sent this in, and honestly, my weekend just wouldn’t be the same without it. Don’t miss the list of talented wedding suppliers who brought this dreamy photoshoot to life: scroll all the way through to see everyone involved. Over to Charan with the details…
Ivory Events Stapleford Park wedding styled shoot (20)

I wanted to provide an Anglo-Indian inspired shoot to couples out there who want to tie in their British upbringing and celebrate their Asian heritage. The table layout illustrates something a little different to the ‘normal’ wedding by using a non-traditional colour palette too. I was inspired by interior design magazines where the colour palettes are now bursting with calmer and softer colours.

As it’s actually SNOWING outside today (anyone else?!!) I can’t think of anything more appropriate than a reindeer for this morning’s blog! So snuggle into your cosiest woollies and grab a hot chocolate – because this wintery wedding inspo is just perfect! Images are by lovely Chantel at Photography by Chantel, who worked alongside a talented group of suppliers in the Old Milking Parlour at Cavokay House to bring you this gorgeous editorial full of candles and textures: winter foliage, wooden pillar candlesticks and mercury glass combine to make a charming and welcoming wedding table.

Styling is by Rustic Rentals: “I elected to keep the props and styling very minimal with the focus on the re-use of vintage and modern décor items to highlight how both vintage and modern hire items can be incorporated and upcycled. My style tends to be minimal, rustic chic where I love to combine different textures such as velvets, chiffons and metallics paired with vintage pressed glass, vintage brass and gold modern accessories alongside candles in different sizes and tonal colours. I also like to use items not always used at weddings such as the Vintage Indian cart made from a Vintage Indian door, a vintage door from The Old Milking Parlour used as a table on vintage builders trestles and a beautiful vintage peacock chair.

Seating guests up to 200 in the Ballroom. And room for any type of marquee you wish to take your guests beyond the 200 mark. The idea behind the shoot was to showcase how you can take two cultures and bring them together to create a very romantic English style wedding.
