We’ve also had a lovely response from some fabulous vendors to English Wedding’s January HALF PRICE sale – and you still have time to grab 50% off all Tier 1 and 2 advertising packages on the blog if you join in January!!! With Tier 2, as well as a listing in our UK wedding supplier Directory you also get 3 home page features on the blog throughout the year to really raise your brand profile so if that sounds good to you, email me!

Today’s images on the blog are blissfully creative, romantic and rural. An inspiration shoot for luxury countryside weddings, showcasing some of Yorkshire’s finest. For those couples wanting a truly rural location, Danby Castle nestled deep in the North York Moors couldn’t be a more perfect setting. With a Wuthering Heights aesthetic, the ruins of Danby Castle (once the home of Catherine Parr, Henry VIII’s last wife) stand strong between a landscape of barren moors and deep dales. The weather delivered in true Yorkshire style, flitting between sunshine and showers as the mist quickly rolled in.

So today’s shoot. It’s fabulously curated by Hire Societies‘ Tania, with light and airy images by talented photographer Ioana Porav. The Stephanie Allin dress is dreamy in winter sunlight: our bride’s evening outfit is sexy and sassy and playful all at the same time! I’ll hand over to lovely Tania to tell you more. Grab Pinterest from somewhere – this is one you’ll want to save and come back to again and again and again!

Lovers of florals, colour, fragrance and whimsical romance, gather round! Today’s wedding inspiration is wonderfully colourful and fun and romantic… all inspired by a golden swan and brought to life by a fabulously creative bunch of wedding suppliers in lovely Leicestershire.

The shoot is by Claire of Lefkas Weddings, who styled the shoot and wanted to use bright colours and jewel tones in contrast to the summer weddings she usually creates with her destination wedding planning company. The images are by destination wedding photographer Maxeen Kim and the bride’s beautiful dress is by Bronx and Banco, combining tiered, lace skirt with a soft, romantic look. It was paired with velvet Ted Baker heels, which everyone wanted to take home! The groom wore a velvet jacket lined with bird pattern fabric adding a hint of fun to the outfit and a nod to the theme.

I’ve been waiting to share this beautiful wedding inspiration for months! It’s perfect for winter, fabulously rich and colourful with the most wonderful fabrics, sparkle and geometric detail! This is the second part of an EPIC bridal story – we featured the first part of this editorial photoshoot from some of Cheshire’s most sought-after wedding suppliers back in October.

Lovely wedding photographer Zehra Jagani – Wedding Photographer of the Year in 2018’s Asian Wedding Awards – and the amazingly talented Sadauf from The Wedding Fairy teamed up to create this incredible editorial at Delamere Manor.

Together they created all of these different bridal looks in grey and pink, then green and grey, and finally in uber luxurious burgundy and gold tones.

The floral design is a work of art – beginning the day with soft pink roses, pampas grass and gypsophila with delicate anemones and elegant tulips, then the most wonderful array of dark red roses, coral tulips, orchids, lilies and clematis to create a spectacular backdrop and display for the focal area of the room.

Grab a cup of something cosy and spiced, and join me to gaze happily at today’s breathtaking editorial photoshoot. I’ve fallen head over heels for the warm, deep colours and the homely, hygge atmosphere of these beautiful images by Lucy Baker Photography. The creative team were led by lovely Lauren Alexander Weddings, who found a charming little run down outbuilding at Holbrook Manor and transformed it with a beautiful dessert and snack table. The team were so creative, upcycling a low hanging branch with handmade bespoke glass, playing with the sunset, the light and turning it into a perfect spot for photos.

I LOVE the little details: the cake (by Adorabella Cake Design) and stationery really make the look work so beautifully, tying all the elements together with colours, organic styling and soft, touchable design (I’m talking about Hélène from Smitten With Ink‘s wonderful choice of handmade papers!) – and the florals from  Rose and May Floral Design are spectacularly autumnal and truly enchanting. So be inspired by those hidden corners around YOUR wedding venue. Use the space for outdoor dining, use candles, fairy lights and textures to give your guests something to explore, and create another element to your day. Work with a stylist, source props and or hire and create something utterly bespoke to you for your day.

As those beautifully frosty mornings return, I have a truly magical bridal editorial to share with you today. Inspired by Frozen, with an elegant and wonderfully enchanting colour palette of ice blue and white, this shoot from a talented bunch of wedding suppliers at Cavokay’s Old Milking Parlour will inspire winter weddings and festive tables alike! The images were sent in by lovely Natalie Stevenson Photography, who tells us a little about the inspiration for the shoot below.

Christmas is such a magical time; it was important to translate that magic through the medium of this styled shoot. If you love fairytales like me, Disney is the epitome of fairytale romance. I knew right away that Disney’s ‘Frozen’ would serve as the perfect source of inspiration for a romantic and wintery shoot.

The showstopper of the shoot was undeniably the peacock-feather grown by designer Eliza Jane Howell, fit for a real-life snow queen.

Good morning lovely! An early post today because I’m off teaching a Christmas calligraphy class in the Lake District (so excited I can’t tell you! We’re doing wrapping paper and baubles!) And so today’s creative wedding photoshoot was just perfect to share with you right now. It’s just so beautiful! The flowers are incredible and I adore Julie Michaelsen’s photography. (I was lucky enough to have Julie send me some photographs of my calligraphy back in 2017 and have been in love with her work ever since!) The look is beautifully styled by Lamp Productions with stunning calligraphy by Judy Broad and the most excitingly creative cake from Nevie-Pie Cakes – see the full supplier list at the end of the feature!

“Set in the heart of the Surrey countryside in England, Millbridge Court is a contemporary, exclusive use wedding and events venue. We decided to choose Millbridge Court for our shoot as we knew we wanted to shoot at a countryside venue. Luckily, Millbridge Court is within easy reach of London and it has a relaxed, refined luxury feel to it. Not only is it such a unique venue with a naturally rural yet contemporary and elegant feel, but it has a stunning interior and is flooded with light all year round.

Good morning, lovelies! I’m officially back at my blogging desk after a week in Venice, and VERY excited for the week ahead. We’ve some stunning weddings and ideas to share with you, and my inbox is bursting with submissions (I have 331 emails eeek) so it’s going to be a busy and beautiful week! Let’s kick things off with a fabulous wedding photoshoot from lovely Lorna Newman Photography, from a new wedding venue in Cambridgeshire. I hope you love this as much as I do!

Stockmans Meadows Cambridgeshire wedding photography by Lorna Newman (21)

A team of amazing suppliers came together for this inspired shoot mainly to showcase a beautiful new venue called Stockmans Meadows, in Cambridgeshire. The venue is set alongside a river (they even have a boat). It has a cute boho feel and is super romantic so our concept for the shoot was “Romance by the Riverside’. We wanted to showcase the venue, as well as all the very talented suppliers work that was involved.

This. This is one of the loveliest shoots I’ve seen in my EXACTLY 10 years of being a wedding blogger. (Because yes, I’ve just realised English Wedding was born on November 16th, 2009 and it’s our birthday week!) It seems the perfect opportunity to share something very special with you all.

The location is The Railway Barn at New Hall Vineyards. The concepts and styling are by lovely Hayley Jayne Weddings & Events, and images were captured so beautifully by Terri and Lori. I adore Jess’s dress – a stunning design from the inimitable St Patrick brand, loaned from Turner & Pennell in Rayleigh.

Petal and Wild‘s flowers make this shoot exceptional. The breathtaking structures, the cool and breezy palette, the blooms nestled amongst the balloons… and oh, while we’re on THAT subject will you just look at this beauty?! It’s by the spectacularly creative Fable & Moon. (You’re going to want to check out Sophie’s insta! – she’s all kinds of amazing!)

This fabulous shoot struck me for its uniqueness: for the subtle shift in roles, as well as for the breathtaking styling elements and artisan detailing. Those of you looking for a sustainable wedding with luxury touches need look no further. The shoot was conceived and styled by lovely Nikki at The Toast, and captured so beautifully by OliveJoy Photography. The setting at Bignor Park is enchanting: upturned chairs and trailing, tumbling tablescapes set the scene for a very different wedding style. Florals are fabulously wild and organic, with dried elements and the most wonderful velvet ribbons. The stationery by In The Detail fills a table with beauty which is minimal, elegant and raw.

I love the non-traditional look of this shoot which is somehow still reminiscent of historical romance: the groom with the bouquet; the bride standing above him (not submissive but equal: fiercely proud of her femininity) and the beautiful bridesmaid (who I see in the context of this shoot as a bride, and I hope those of you planning a wedding with something other than a bride + groom dynamic will adore this shoot for its varied perspectives as I do!)

If this isn’t the loveliest thing – glamorous and romantic wedding styling ideas by the dozen, set in a 700 year old country house and with plush fabrics, gold accents, breathtaking florals – I was blown away when I first set eyes on this editorial, and I just know you will be too!

Dramatic and alternative wedding ideas on English-Wedding.com with Danny Inwood Photography (18)

Heidi from Simply Irresistible Cakes London organised and submitted this special photoshoot, which brought together some of Kent’s finest wedding suppliers at Nurstead Court. The look was vintage, romantic and with a glam and luxurious atmosphere. The palette of navy, burgundy and magenta is timeless and that little bit different from the pastels we see so much of – and it’s gloriously dramatic. The cake, obviously – a true showstopper!

Danny Inwood Photography‘s images capture the opulent and luxurious vibe of the day, with the most stunning images of bride Ellie’s hair and makeup (by Kirsten hair and make up) and capturing the elegant detailing and sparkle on Eliza Jane Howell‘s fabulous bridal gown (which we LOVE for a winter wedding).

Imagine a wedding venue brimming with ancient history; yet in the heart of a beautiful English city. Imagine an evening celebration in a timeless setting, a rich treasure house with grand, sweeping staircases and priceless paintings.

Our friends at The Ashmolean Museum in Oxford have brought together a bunch of supremely talented creatives to showcase the magic of their venue. The Ashmolean is available as a private wedding venue after hours, its opulent reception rooms and architectural alcoves making a stunning and fascinating setting for your special celebration.

The warmth and majesty of this bridal photoshoot from the Ashmolean Museum takes my breath away. The beautiful images by Zaki Charles Photography capture the dramatic spaces and historic character of the museum. Lucy wears stunning gowns from Bridal Reloved in Wallingford, complemented by beautifully styled hair by Rachael Cappocci, and carries a bouquet from The Country Garden Flower Company.
