Happy weekend, my lovelies! I’m busy teaching a modern calligraphy workshop at the fabulous Little Paper Shop in Nantwich, Cheshire today (head over to my insta @bymoonandtide for behind the scenes pics!) but of course I saved up something wonderful to share on English Wedding while I’m there! Senel from Bride and Belle and lovely Eva Tarnok used the history of Chiswick House as a basis of the inspiration for this wonderfully feminine and romantic, classic bridal editorial.

The images tell the love story of Elisabeth, an English lady, and her Italian suitor. Using a colour palette of soft pinks and neutral tones paired with gold details reflects the romantic and classical feel of this shoot, combined with a Fine Art aesthetic. The graceful, romantic and feminine images celebrate the historical nature of the building, which is transformed into a stunning wedding venue with lots of beautifully styled details.

Today’s wedding style edit from Thyme Lane Photography is one of those that make my toes tingle for how perfect it all is. The tone is moodily beautiful, with boho elegant styling in a lovely English country house. The venue – Lanwades Hall, which is hidden in the Suffolk countryside – has the most stunning rooms with beautiful light and large gardens, and the team truly made the most of the amazing location.

The shoot shows how an almost completely monochrome, minimal scheme can work in a venue like Lanwades Hall and still create a lot of interest by giving contrast to the rich colours of the great variety of backdrops.

Inspiring the shoot was a 110 years old bridal dress which Noemi at Thyme Lane Photography used in 2 ways – to match the heritage of the venue and to contrast the brand new, handmade table and ceremony arch.

Morning lovely! I hope you’re having an easy day 🙂 It’s miserable up here in the Lakes (although I’m happily submerged in calligraphy work – yay!), so I’m delighted to be filling our screens with joyful colour and a light and fragrant summer wedding edit today. The florals are just STUNNING – and I’m totally in love with the Watters Wtoo gown with all its sparkle and swishiness! Oh, and don’t even get me started on the fabulous cake… it’s a winner in every single way and I’m thrilled to be sharing this with you all! Get those Pinterest fingers ready, my lovelies!

The concept for the shoot was a bright and contemporary use of décor and styling for a young modern bride who embraced her love of all things bold, bright and creative, yet wanted to keep things pretty, feminine and natural. Images are by Laura Jane Photography and the shoot was planned and styled by Party Squared with fabulous florals by Miss Fleur Floral Design, who submitted the shoot for us to share.

Happy Sunday my lovelies! We have the most beautiful wedding inspiration for you today, courtesy of The Hampshire Wedding Club member Lauren Hughes. As a Hampshire wedding photographer, Lauren’s imagination and creativity is second only to the beauty of her images – and for today’s feature she pulled together a super talented team who created something truly unique and different – and wonderfully exciting!

The wedding venue is Rownhams House, and if you’re planning a wedding in Hampshire you will be thrilled with all the clever and lovely humans you’re about to discover in that neck of the woods! For Hampshire wedding photography of course you need look no further: Lauren Hughes is your girl.

I love the non-traditional look to this shoot: the vibe is ethereal with a wistful essence and dark undertones. Liv’s dress by Nortier Shallow is layered with a gorgeous nude underskirt and soft black tulle edged in horsehair braid. The shape is high fashion elegance, incorporating the black layers without even a hint of steampunk and gothic: this would make a perfect evening dress for those of you who fancy a change halfway through your day; or a fabulous combination of classic silhouette and head-turning colour for a stunning daytime wedding look!

Where to begin with today’s stunning shoot? It’s perfect for those of you planning an autumn wedding… but the rich tones are simply glorious and for me this is a look that will work beautifully from late summer through to the winter months. The florals are the absolute star of the show; the styling is rich, opulent and beautiful. Images by Antonia Grace Photography.

My aim was to create something using rich, warm berry and gold tones along with a romantic and alluring moodiness.

The shoot took place at the beautiful The Manor Barn in Salisbury which is right on the doorstep of the famous Stonehenge. The barn is a private wedding venue where they will hold no more than 20 weddings a year making it exclusive and very personal. It is still relatively new as the first wedding hosted by the family was in 2013. It really is a hidden gem.

Hey beautiful! Welcome to the long weekend! Are you up to anything lovely this weekend? I’ll be up in the Lake District while the sun shines, I think! Before I go… a fabulous elopement shoot which is food for thought as well. This is from lovely Courage & Dash – and I adore the quietness and beauty of it all.

We are inspired by the quiet elegance of English weddings, particularly casual, homely ones which feature personal touches, particularly English antiques and trinkets. We enter the day at the point where the couple is pausing to catch their breaths and reflect: the newly-married couple is back at the family home, spending some quiet moments together and soaking in the day.

The colours are muted, the feel is peaceful. It is right after the wedding ceremony, and just before the evening’s intimate celebrations. Set in the couple’s home, which is a beautiful English period property, the bridal portraits capture the couple sharing jokes on the sofa, taking a walk in the garden outside, whispering love notes by the French windows.

It was in the colder months of the year that lovely Sam Cook Photography got in touch to share this – a wonderfully warming, authentic and artfully styled shoot from The Lost Orangery, Euridge House in Colerne, north Wiltshire. I fell head over heels for its beauty: the crumbling walls, elegant florals and gentle autumnal hues. See below for the full supplier list!

When 2019 trends of bows, appliqué and bright colours – as well as Pantone’s colour of the year living coral – were announced, a styled shoot began to take shape featuring multi-award winning suppliers from Norfolk. We wanted to create an inspirational mood board rich in symbolism and simplicity, a fusion and intersection of rich traditions, where old meets new, all wrapped up in contemporary bridal elegance. Our inspiration for brides is to keep it simple and be brave with colour combinations; focus on a few elements of bright colour and rich textures, allow the individual elements to shine.

Are you a country girl at heart? Did you grow up in a village, learn about the different leaves at school and grow up loving the English countryside? Then today’s feature is just for you, my lovely!

I spent my own childhood in a small village in the Lake District. Those days were all about playing out in the sunshine, and as I grew up I would explore the country lanes and fall in love with nature. My mum had “The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady” on her bookshelf; now I own a copy of my own. The illustrations capture our native flora and fauna so perfectly; Edith’s words take me back to a place in time…

So this wedding editorial spoke to my heart. Lovely Jennifer Jane Photography explains her inspiration behind the beautiful images.

Welcome to the new week everyone! How is this glorious sunshine making you feel? On such a beautiful day I simply had to share this stunning shoot found in my inbox – it’s by a sup90er talented bunch of Cirencester wedding suppliers, whose artisan, sustainable approach has my heart. The stunning images are everything – every shot is just perfect. They’re by  Rachel Jane Photography, and the words (and dreamy florals) are by lovely Fi from Corky and Prince.

“The warm tones of coral coloured roses were refined with a complimentary palette of neutrals including carnations, stocks (smelt heavenly!) and the ethereal ranunculus ‘butterfly ariadne’ with its soft tones of vanilla and cream. We added key motifs, ferns and fuzzy peaches to add texture and evoke an English summer’s day.

Our aim was to create a classic English wedding vibe in the grounds of the beautiful Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester. We wanted to showcase a hand-picked team of local suppliers who all have a distinctive ethical, sustainable or artisan dimension to their work to show that you can have a sublime wedding with a team who share your values.

Ahhh… I’m LOVING writing blog posts for you this week… because it’s summer on my screen and that makes me happy! Today’s feature is lush, sunny, and so captivating you can almost smell the lemon groves. A luxury Mediterranean inspired summer bridal photoshoot at the romantic Almonry Barn wedding venue in Somerset, organised by lovely Ellie Lou Photography. Our bride wears a beautiful silk wedding dress with lace detail by fabulous bespoke bridal dressmaker Ailsa Munro and a colourful citrus-infused colour palette of yellows, orange and pink tones and gold / gold leaf details.

Almonry Barn is a luxury, award-winning wedding venue in Somerset. The barn has been beautifully updated with stylish interiors, perfect for a romantic Somerset wedding.

The beautiful silk design dress with lace detail (“Maymie”) is by our favourite South West dressmaker, Ailsa Munro.

Daisy Lane Floral Design designed the floral arrangements, which included a colourful bouquet, a set of floral hoops and a beautiful moongate set amongst the trees in the orchard. The flowers included in the photoshoot were antirrhinum, asclepias, astilbe, cosmos, dahlia, hypericum, sweet peas, lysimachia, stocks, roses (Buttercup, David Austin Darcy, David Austin Julliet) and eucalyptus.

Oh my word I LOVE this shoot!!! The colours, the elegance and the light through the windows… every detail is spot on, it’s absolutely beautiful. I’ve been saving it up, because it’s lovely to have something to inspire all of our weekends… and this has everything from a La Sposa gown (oh, that lace!) and velvet ribbons, insanely beautiful florals and a moody, luxe, dreamy colour palette.

The venue is Shropshire’s stunning Davenport House. The inspiration was – and I LOVE this – Vanity Fair at the Oscars. How’s that for a wedding theme?! Elegant glamour inspired wedding styled shoot with blacks, dark greys, deep greens and pops of colour. Images are by lovely Shropshire wedding photographer Laura May Photography.

Taking inspiration from the iconic Condé Nast publication Vanity Fair, a sense of drama and old Hollywood glamour was created with this shoot. The team wanted to create something more elevated and elegant for such a fantastic venue, with deep blues, crimsons and golds taking centre stage with the table décor.
