Amanda Karen Photography was born out of a love for photography and weddings, especially after our own wedding in 2013!  It’s truly the best job in the world, to capture people in love declaring that to their nearest and dearest, and to do that alongside my own husband is even better.  The beauty of being a husband and wife team is that we can relate to just how our couples are feeling, the anticipation, the excitement, the fact that the day goes by in one romantic whirlwind, it’s an amazing and emotional day for all involved.  I love it!

Our style is quite relaxed, we want to capture the day as it unfolds, those little moments between you and your guests, so that when you look back at your album on your 25^th wedding anniversary, you’re transported back to that day, remembering the sights, sounds and feelings.

But it’s not just about creating the memories, so much planning and thought goes into the day that it’s important our couples have chance to step away and take it all in.  This is a great time to create some stunning romantic portraits of you both; we’re not talking forced poses and fake smiles, just a gentle encouragement in beautiful light to show how gorgeous you both are.

One of the things I love about this job (is it really a job if you love it so much?!) is, after the wedding, creating each couple’s wedding album.

Having your wedding images printed and beautifully bound in a fine art album is the perfect way to look back on your wedding.  And we work with the most amazing UK supplier for our weddings, right out of the heart of Yorkshire, their craftsmanship is undeniably awesome and their attention to detail means your wedding images are given the care and attention they deserve.
