Philip and Chrissy’s elegant rustic Trevenna Barns wedding, with Tracey Warbey Photography
A perfect wedding to share with you on a Friday… Phil & Chrissy’s day is full of fun and colour, it’s elegantly styled with a rustic flair. The venue is Trevenna Barn in Cornwall and the day was captured by lovely Tracey Warbey Photography. I absolutely can’t get enough of these two – this is fabulous!

Were you pleased with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love a brilliant review!
Yes she was absolutely fantastic! Could not have asked for a more relaxed and perfect photographer!
Tell us about your venue – what made this place special for you?
Trevenna Barns was absolutely stunning. The views and the way we were able to have all of our close family and friends in the barns was special to us.
Did you love wearing your outfits? How was the dress / suit shopping experience?
Dressing up was so much fun and I felt like a total princess all day! Finding my dress was a difficult decision as I had no idea what I wanted but when I found it I knew it was the one. Philip found suit shopping a little tricky as he is so tall, but we got there in the end!
Did you hire a florist? Tell us about any floral amazingness
My brilliant Aunty made all of our flower decorations and she spent a tremendous amount of time getting everything to look perfect! From her table top decorations, milk churns and my bouquet to the incredible hanging display on the arbour and details on the chairs. I would not have wanted them any other way.
As cake lovers here at English Wedding we’d LOVE to know who made your cake, and how delicious it was?
The most delicious battenburg you have ever tasted. With a layer of carrot cake and red velvet. Made with love from a friend!
Tell us about any special personal touches, or creative projects you made yourselves
We loved the rustic theme and relished in the idea of making everything for our tables. Hours of time was spent glueing scrabble letters to stands for our name tags, which looked amazing. Our funky seating plan displayed on a mirror was also a super feature on our day, along with the sweet stand and handmade (by my father) log table tops.
Did you personalise your vows or have any wedding readings? What were they?
Our beautiful niece read the most amazing poem during our ceremony to all of our guests.
What was your first dance song? Why did you choose it?
It Must be Love – Madness
Our musician’s take on this classic love song was perfect for our first dance – choreographed by one of our guests (which was a total secret from everyone).
