Happy Saturday my lovelies! Warmest welcomes to another edition of English Wedding Lite! – it’s my name for our look back through the archives at some favourite weddings (while I bundle myself up in Christmas jumpers and drink eggnog, or something 😉 Today I have an absolute dream of a wedding to share with you – the styling is striking and beautiful, the venue is a fabulous old mill. Gorgeous grooms Martin and Paul had an autumn wedding at The West Mill Venue  – and it’s just perfect. Unforgettably perfect, as the guys told me… and from the pics I couldn’t agree more. Photos are by Manchester wedding photographer Mike Plunkett, who gets a great review from the happy couple!

These two rocked their day in the very best way imaginable. Their suits are from Australian tailors Oscar Hunt – and they’re gorgeous! I love the pale blue, teamed with autumnal brown and vibrant orange accents – they look amazing and the guys loved them! Styling touches include elegant vintage suitcases, vibrant autumn florals, effortlessly chic display areas with maps and the most adorable cake topper. I’d love to see Pinterest go crazy for this wedding – it’s a stunner and I hope you all love it as much as I do!

Where did you find your suppliers?

Lots of web searches, some recommendations from friends and family.

What’s your top tip for saving money?

Get creative with decoration – a lot of things can be made or designed yourself, and personal effort makes the reward even greater.

… and which elements of your wedding are you glad you spent more on?

The suits. They were blummin amaze.

Where did you buy or source your wedding stationery – or was making it a labour of love?

Invites came from Merge Studios, but most of the rest we did ourselves

Tell us about your accessories: jewellery, shoes and anything else!

Shoes came from Russell and Bromley

Hair and make-up – did you DIY or hire a professional?

A friend of ours is stylist to the stars – Tim Furssedonn

Describe your wedding flowers. Who arranged them for you?

Alison Ferrier – another friend in Edinburgh. Autumn theme, lots of oranges and red.

General styling – did your venue need much decoration?

No, the venue is perfect even without any

Crafts and makes – tell us about any homemade elements of your wedding… did you enjoy them?

Quiz for the tables (awesome), table plan was a world map (now framed at home – loved it). The guest book (another world map) didn’t really work though as my five year old nephew practised his Picasso impression on it!

The wedding cake: what kind of cake did you choose and why?

Three layers, each a different style, covered in icing to look like vintage suitcases and a globe on top. Looks gorgeous, was sad to get a knife to it. We don’t like fruit cake so went for chocolate and caramel.

Entertainment: any musical recommendations, surprises or treats?

Surprise karaoke boys vs girls, and we did a first dance mash up between Celine Dion (Paul’s favourite) and Kylie (Martin’s favourite).

On the day tips and advice:

Breathe deeply and absorb every single second, it flashes past in a blur, so don’t waste it getting stressed.
