Autumn conjures up beautiful images of golden leaves, crisp and frosty mornings… but rarely apples. I think it’s time we changed that – as today’s real wedding has the most stunning shots from an apple orchard! Jessie and Brady are gorgeous; their day shows just how beautiful an autumn wedding can be – and the stunning pics by Charlene Webb Photography are a dream to scroll through!

Jessie and Bradys wedding at the beginning of September at the beautiful The BarnYard in Upchurch. The ceremony took place outside, with the rolling hills and apple orchards behind. The reception took place in the marquee wedding dressed in dusky pink and fresh flowers. When I took the couple of for their photos I was in awe of the love you could see between them. We were blessed with amazing light streaming between the apple orchard and I think we got some great shots. The couple had secret singers which had everyone up on their feet.

Venue: The BarnYard, Upchurch, Sittingbourne. An outdoor ceremony and beautiful marquee for the reception with the apple orchard surrounding it.

“Charlene was recommended to us by a friend on Facebook and we loved her natural style of photos from her website. She was so welcoming and really made us feel comfortable on the day with the natural poses.”

What’s your top tip for saving money?

To shop around for the best prices as certain services can vary so much.

… and which elements of your wedding are you glad you spent more on?

The flowers were a lot of money, but they listened to everything I asked and went beyond my expectations. The centerpieces made it as its such a big marquee, they added some colour to the room. Also we had secret singing waiters and they made it so much fun and got everyone in the mood to party early on.

Did you fall in love with your wedding dress?

I only went to one shop and it was the fifth dress I tried on, we all loved it and I bought it there and then.

Tell us about the suits for the guys – what did the groom and ushers wear?

The ushers all wore navy suits and the groom had the same, but with a grey waistcoat to stand out more. Our three younger page boys wore grey suits also.

Your wedding styling – did your venue need much decoration?

The marquee was lovely, but we thought it needed a few touches so we added a light up dance floor with Mr & Mrs Powell letters and flower wall behind the top table.

Crafts and makes – did you DIY anything – and was it worth it?

I made the shot glass favours myself and we had a memory ladder, but apart from that I had everything made, with two younger children I didn’t have the time to do things.

The wedding cake: what kind of cake did you choose and why?

We had a 4 tier cake in a silver/lilac colour as that was our theme and each tier was a different flavour.

Words of wisdom: share your best piece of advice for other couples!

Just relax in the morning of the wedding as it’s all been done for you now – no more planning, you can enjoy your day and not to worry about the little things because it all comes together in the end.
