Happy Wednesday folks! Have you read the English Wedding Bible yet? Our article “why don’t men like weddings” is making me super aware of giving grooms a starring role in the weddings I share on the blog – how am I doing? Of course, handsome grooms like Charlie make it easy 🙂 And Vicky is just breathtakingly beautiful, don’t you think? Today’s wedding is as gorgeous as it is exciting. I adore the elegant and rustic styling, and I love the ideas Vicky and Charlie came up with – “wedding day TV” starring guest interviews, plus the groomsmen’s boy band montage… it sounds so funny and memorable for all the right reasons!

Vicky and Charlie had a very elegant wedding with a rustic English country garden feel. Vicky wore a gorgeous Pronovias dress and cathedral length veil with dark lips and an updo for almost a vintage film star feel. Charlie was gifted an personalised pocket watch just prior to the ceremony, the ceremony room itself in one of Lillibrooke Manor‘s barns was filled with garden flowers draped over the table and surrounding wall decorations.
Vicky provided a comfortable seated area away from dining and dancing where guests could relax on elegant rustic furniture and admire the wooden and floral decorations. Wedding favours were macarons hand baked by Vicky as “Mrs Tripp” on the label, and she also handmade all the table numbers with numbers and pictures corresponding to both Vicky and Charlie at various ages.
A member of Vicky’s family provided a fun “wedding day TV” entertainment, so her junior bridesmaids were on hand to “interview” guests throughout the day! Vicky and Charlie also had a beautiful professional video from Irene Piera films. A highlight of the speeches was a video presentation from the best man, who gathered all the groomsmen to film and sing in a montage of music videos based on Charlie’s favourite boy bands, culminating in a suited dance routine inside Lillibrooke Manor itself. Guests absolutely loved it!
I took Vicky and Charlie out for a stroll in Lillibrooke’s gardens both during the day, and in the secret garden during sunset, which made for some wonderfully romantic images.
