The summer solstice has been and gone… but I’ve been saving up something really special to mark the occasion. I’d have loved to visit Stonehenge in the days before it was a mega visitor centre – sadly my chance has passed, but I do still believe there’s a magic in the beautiful rolling hills nearby. Lucky enough to be situated on the edge of the Stonehenge world heritage site and set in the grounds of a 17th century manor house, The Manor Barn has been sympathetically restored to the highest possible standards as a charmingly timeless wedding venue.
Today’s editorial comes from lovely Pippa at The Manor Barn, along with a bunch of fabulously talented local wedding suppliers who collaborated to set the scene for an elegant spring wedding with edgy and beautiful contemporary touches. It’s one of my favourite shoots so far this year – and as such it was a key feature in the English Wedding Bible at the beginning of this month.
“Our concept was elegant, simple lines, lush botanicals and lots of spring greenery. Incorporating deep blue, gold and spherical details to offer brides and grooms ideas that they can easily recreate!
We wanted to showcase how rustic and elegance can work together and give an all round flavor of the day from ‘getting ready’ – many of the shots were taken in our new bridal suite. ”
