How was your weekend? We’ve had blissful sunshine and a lovely sea breeze, perfect for a friend’s party and a day’s tidying up the garden… as it’s my main view when I’m blogging, it’s important my little flowers grow bigger than the weeds so I can see them! While I’m in a sunny mood, I’m all about sharing summer weddings on the blog, and today’s is just the perfect summer’s day.
Cristina and Pat were married at Penton Park, and styled their day with lovely personal touches – the table plan is genius, the favours and place settings look gorgeous. And they had everything: glorious sunshine from the off, a luxurious venue with fabulous interiors and breathtaking gardens, and clear skies all the way through until sunset.
I love their story, which is told in a nutshell on one of the table cards – basically, Pat moved in to the house Cristina was sharing with friends at the time. She liked him SO much she thought she’d have to move out immediately. I guess it’s lucky for them – and for us! – that she didn’t!
Penton Park wedding photographer Paul Tansley of Stylish Wedding Photography says, “when a couple looks blissfully happy together on their wedding day, it just makes my life so much easier, then I can concentrate on making interesting pictures without worrying about trying to get pictures where they are smiling – as they are smiling all day long. Cristina & Pat’s wedding was one of the most fun weddings I’ve shot this year.
“Plus, what a great venue Penton Park is. This was my first time there and I loved it. The owners are professional but very laid back – much like myself. I like people who are calm and relaxed and just let people have fun. It fitted the couple’s needs perfectly and I can’t wait to shoot there again.”
