If you have half an hour or so free this Sunday afternoon, I would love for you to check out our digital magazine, the English Wedding Bible. I love curating all the features, shoots, writing articles and putting the publication together, and I really hope you’ll enjoy snuggling down with your phone or tablet and having a good old read! Of course, the shoots in the magazine are the ones which really knock my little socks off – and you’ll recognise some of the images from the blog today when you read the magazine too! The flowers in this shoot are just divine – they’re perfect for a spring bouquet with a glorious combination of roses with eucalyptus, sweet peas, wax flower and green hellebores. Images are by our lovely friend and English Wedding sponsor, Amanda Karen Photography. The shoot was styled by lovely Emma Turner Weddings, and there’s a full supplier list below. Here’s Emma to tell you more!
After such a long and dreary winter, it’s incredibly welcome to see things blossoming into vibrant, green life! I loved putting together this shoot in celebration of all things springlike at luxury Essex venue That Amazing Place.
This exclusive use venue is a converted monastery, and it’s got a host of gorgeous spaces available. Using the stunning grounds (that blossom tree made me grin from ear to ear when I saw it!) and several of the indoor spaces, we created a youthful, spring look in shades of peach and pale pink.
The palette we chose was feminine and romantic, but we kept punchy pops of colour running through it. I love how the flowers by Miss Fleur pick up on the hues in the stationery and candles and add some depth and richness to them. To me, delicate blossom is emblematic of spring, and it played a big part in this shoot. As well as that absolutely beautiful cherry tree in the grounds at That Amazing Place, we brought in white blossom trees from Jade’s Flower Design to flank our tablescape, and these were picked up in the petal detailing of one of the gorgeous gowns from Lenka’s Bespoke Bridal.
The mix of gentle femininity and power was echoed in our bridal hair and makeup look. I love the delicate beaded hair vine from PS With Love, and the dewy make up coupled with a more glamorous smoky eye.
The trend for all things metallic shows no sign of disappearing in 2018, and I for one am very happy about this! We used rose gold accents in the candle-holders and charger plates, and I was thrilled to see a rose gold tier of the beautiful cake made by LaBelle Cake Company.
The team of suppliers I worked with on this shoot were wonderful – they creatively interpreted the brief, and were a total delight to work with from start to finish. I’m so, so pleased with the results.
