Happy Tuesday lovelies! I’m blogging from my patio this morning… it’s not often we have glorious sunshine in the Lakes while the rest of the country is gloomy, so no apologies for making the most of it while it lasts! But I do have something to brighten your day and bring a little summer to your screens…
Judith and Mat’s wedding is wonderful for the flowers, for the glowing smiles on the faces of the beautiful bride and groom, and for bringing Millbridge Court back to the English Wedding Blog! It’s been two years since we featured a wedding from this fabulous Surrey venue, but I hope we’ll see many more in the years to come! It’s a blank canvas venue, with high ceilings and white walls… perfect for decorating with bright, vibrant touches as Judith and Mat did.
Surrey wedding photographer Paul Tansley from Stylish Wedding Photography, who captured their day, said “Millbridge has instantly become one of my favourite venues to work at. The interior is not only stylish and interestingly decorated, it works perfectly as a wedding venue throughout the day, from ceremony to evening party. The staff were wonderful to work alongside too, making the whole day a pleasure for Carol and myself. We can’t wait to shoot there again!”
Judith & Mat’s wedding had an African Theme, as the couple had just returned from living in Kenya together. They collected all of the animal figures on the tables as favours, a really lovely idea. Each one was chosen to fit the personality of the guest.
The flowers are an absolute highlight. Kate Avery Flowers chose beautiful blooms in mixed summer colours, including hydrangeas, delphiniums, daisies, dahlias, astilbe, sweet peas, cornflowers, peonies and more. Judith’s bouquet is stunning; the floral arrangements on the walls and displays with the most adorable glass bottles are so gorgeous I can’t take my eyes away! www.kateaveryflowers.co.uk
