These two are more than a little bit gorgeous, don’t you think? Chloe looks amaaaazing – and Marc’s black bowtie is a perfectly elegant look for a classic summer wedding. The venue is Kingston Estate – a magnificent Georgian mansion set in the heart of south Devon. Images are by lovely Sam Box Photography.
We tried to keep everything as classic as possible, white flowers with lots of greenery, black tie for the boys and a pale grey sequinned for the bridesmaids. I am slightly obsessed with everything Michelle Keegan .. so her wedding was massive inspiration for me!! I loved the glamour that they had but still kept it minialistic and classy! I mostly used the internet to look for different things for the wedding, usually after I had trawled Instagram and Pinterest for inspiration!
Our flowers were by Les Fleurs, Becky was so lovely and captured my vision perfectly. We had white Roses, lillies, gyspophilia and eucalyptus and other greenery. Pure gypsie bouquets for the bridesmaid which I loved. Luckily Kingston is such a beautiful venue in itself, we really didn’t have to do much decorating! We have LOVE letters, lots of fairy lights and a fab artificial flower wall from The Venue Dressing Company.

Wedding photographer’s website:
I came across Sam’s website online and straight away loved his style, natural and candid shots showing all the lovely colours without photos looking really edited. It was exactly what I was looking for!! He was the first and only photographer we met up with and straight away he captured us with his amazing personality! We had such a laugh with him we knew instantly we would be relaxed with him on the day and we just trusted him from day one. We didn’t even want to continue looking at other photographers and booked in with him straight away.
We were sooooo pleased with our Photographer – he brought a second shooter with him who was also brilliant, as well as reccomending a Videographer! We were the first Wedding video the Videographer, Olli Pestell, had ever done but we knew based on Sam’s reccomendation we could trust it and we were not dissapointed by any of it! We were so pleased with our photos, they just captured the day perfectly and it felt like we could relive the day all over again. Sam was amazing on the day, did everything he could to make the day run smoothly and he just fit in so perfectly with everyone! It was just like he was one of the guests, he even joined us for a beer and cigar towards the end of the night which was great. All our guests complimented on how fantastic he was. We would reccomend him to anyone and everyone!
We were so excited and happy to recieve our wedding photos! It felt like we were able to relive it all over again and they captured moments we had completely forgotten about! They are amazing and we are so happy we get to look back at them in years to come.
I had met Chloe & Marc long before their wedding and was very excited by their plans. When the day finally came around I was not let down. First of all, Chloe and Marc are just the loveliest couple. They are the sort of people that you can talk to and feel like you have known them for years. This, on top of the fact that they are both absolutely gorgeous, made them a real pleasure to shoot! ~ Sam Box Photography
Kingston Estate, Staverton, Totnes, Devon.
Kingston is an absolutely fantastic venue, a beautfiful house surrounded by cottages and imaculate gardens. It was the second venue we went to see and as soon as we arrived we knew that the search was over! This was going to our wedding venue. We arrived on Friday morning to set up and un pack ready for the wedding and our whole weekend, where we stayed put until Monday. On the friday night we had CRU Catering in to cook dinner for 50 guests, which were able to eat out in the courtyard in the sunshine. With our bellies full with food and a few prosseccos we had an early night in Kingston’s main house and could wake up where we could get ready for the big day. The wedding day itself ran smoothly without a hitch all day, Marie-Anne the wedding coordinator was there from start to finish ensuring everything was perfect. The venue, grounds, staff were all amazing at Kingston, we could not fault a thing all wedding weekend.
Can you describe your wedding in fewer than 10 words?
Magical day, beautiful setting, surrounded by the people we love.
What’s your top tip for saving money?
EXCEL Spreadsheets! You definitely have to keep on top of your spending otherwise you can get carried away! Sometimes you have to sit back and think.. ‘Do we reeeeally need that?!’
… and which elements of your wedding are you glad you spent more on?
I am glad we spent more money on flowers as I think they decorate the day so lovely! Also we are really pleased we got a videographer, a must have! Was worth every penny!
Where did you buy or source your wedding stationery – or was making it a labour of love?
I found ‘Utopia Cards’ on Etsy and liaised with Nikki directly. She was so helpful and gave us lots of ideas for different wording and designs. We made sure that the Wedding invitations matched with all the stationery on the day, seating plan, place cards etc.
Did you fall in love with your wedding dress?
I loved my dress, any bride should feel like a princess on their wedding day!
Wedding dress designer and bridal boutique:
Pronovias, – Rookery Manor Bridal Shop – Kylie and her mum run the shop together and we amazing and so lovely every time we went to the shop. I had a tough crowd to please when searching for a dress but Kylie was always on my team!!
Tell us about your accessories: jewellery, shoes and anything else!
I love wearing heels but found it hard to find wedding shoes that weren’t really old fashioned or ridiculously expensive! I am a lover of Dune shoes and when I saw an email to say they had an exclusive wedding collection I was straight onto it! Jewellery I kept to a minimum, some little drop earings from Swarovski and a few lovely friends bought me a beautiful diamonte bracelet from Pandora which I wore on the day! My personalised ‘Mrs’ dressing gown was from Boux Avenue.
And what did the groom wear?
Marc wore a beautiful Paul Costello black tie dinner suit with black patent Kurt Geiger shoes.
Beautiful bridesmaids: what did your best girls wear?
Dressing gowns for my bridesmaids were from Ted Baker and their dresses were Monsoon.
Hair and make-up – did you DIY or hire a professional?
Of course! Make up was by the amazing Jade Isla Make up and my hair was by Kristina at Andrew Hill Salon.
Crafts and makes – tell us about any homemade elements of your wedding… did you enjoy them?
My mum and I created little bouquets of Gypsie to decorate the end of each aisle in the ceremony, we spent a couple of nights a few days before the wedding doing them which we really enjoyed! We also got some embossed card and made our own cones to fill with confetti.
The wedding cake: what kind of cake did you choose and why?
Our wedding cake was a plain white 5 tier cake, which was filled with Red Velvet, Victoria Sponge and Lemon sponge! We wanted to have a variety and I wanted it to look as grand as possible! The wedding breakfast room is a big beautiful open space, it needed a big cake to fill it!
Entertainment: any musical recommendations, surprises or treats?
Luckily, Marc’s childhood best friend is a DJ so this was a no brainer, he came to the day as a guest and then DJ’d all night for us! Would highly reccomend Future Media. My parents suprised us with a crazy golf course on the lawn! As my now husband is a golfer, we loved this suprise and every one enjoyed playing it whilst we were having drinks after the ceremony! These were from The Prop Factory. Although with these we had a beautfil grey sofa that we were able to take photos on. It also came in handy for a few older guests to rest their dancing feet!
