For a wedding photograph to catch my eye, it has to make me feel something. Whether that’s a warm fuzzy feeling or a sense of excitement and anticipation will depend on the image. Sometimes I find myself smiling at the screen before me, or lifting my hand away from the screen and stopping in my tracks as I scroll – because I want to take it all in. I have always had a little motto when choosing images for the English Wedding Blog – “never delete a grandma” – this is why.
Clive Blair is a Birmingham wedding photographer whose images all have that something that stops me in my tracks and makes me feel something. Just look at the selection we’ve chosen to share with you today, and you’ll see what I mean. Because after the big day it’s not about the styling or florals anymore: your dress and suit will be packed away; stationery forgotten and cake all gone – but the memories held in your images will last a lifetime and more.
This is what wedding blogs mean when we talk about documentary wedding photographers. It’s the art of capturing the story of your day, beautifully and in a way which will bring back all the emotion of your best day ever. Clive Blair has a special talent for it, we think you’ll agree!
“I’m Clive from Clive Blair Photography. I’m a documentary-styled wedding photographer, based in Birmingham, West Midlands and working throughout the UK and abroad for couples who want a relaxed and informal style of wedding photography coverage. This means you’ll get those all-important natural story-telling images you can look back on, to recall the joy of your celebration without having to hang around for ages for the endless group photos.”
Clive is based in Birmingham, which means he’s perfectly placed to shoot weddings all around the UK and overseas – if you love his style like we do, get in touch!
As our newest sponsor, Clive Blair will be a big part of the English Wedding Blog over the coming year – I’m looking forward to sharing some of his real weddings on the blog with you soon, from venues like Bordesley Park, Bodenham Arboretum, and Ragley Hall.
