Will you be making your own wedding invitations, or buying them? Handcrafted can be a great cost-saving option if you can invest time into designing something beautiful! Making wedding stationery is also a lot of fun if you’re a crafty person, and learning how to write beautiful modern calligraphy is a skill you’ll keep and use for life!

I’m holding six modern calligraphy workshops in 2018 in Manchester’s uber cool Northern Quarter. There are still places available for five of the dates from April onwards and I’d love to invite you along. They’re on Friday and Saturday afternoons, starting at one o’clock and finishing around half past three. The price is £65 and every attendee gets to keep their calligraphy ‘kit’ to take home and play with.
I teach all the basics you’ll need for writing calligraphy for your wedding: how to form letters and words with a looping, flowing script full of the thick and thin contrasts which really make modern lettering beautiful. With a little practice at home you’ll be able to write your invitations, place names, escort cards, menus, table plan and any paper signage for your day.
