Daisy and Will’s relaxed country garden wedding weekend at The Copse, with Craig Williams Photography
This will brighten up your Wednesday – I promise! I’m totally in love with today’s wedding from The Copse, and Daisy and Will are just gorgeous – in fact everything about their wedding is just perfect from Daisy’s dress (wow!!) to the florals and greenery. Images are by English Wedding Directory member and super talented Essex wedding photographer Craig Williams – whose website and instagram are both wonderfully addictive!
Daisy and Will’s venue is fabulous. The Copse allows couples to choose their own caterer and bring wine with no corkage – which we think is pretty special! I know it’s a favourite of lovely friend, English Wedding feature writer and wedding planner, Jenna Hewitt. “Jenna ran everything for us and that meant we had much more time to relax and enjoy the day. Having Craig as our photographer and Jenna as our on the day coordinator made all the difference in the world.”
Georgie from Common Farm Flowers supplied buckets of flowers in season as well as the bride’s bouquet. For the venue flowers we used silk blooms supplied by The Copse, mixed with greenery from the surrounding fields. The gardens around The Copse are fabulous and full of flowers, and the venue provides all heating (fire pits and heaters), and thousands of fairy lights and cafe lights and are very happy for couples to create their own style. One of our favourite shots is all our guests lining ‘the confetti walk’.
Wedding photographer’s website:
Daisy really dislikes having her picture taken but everyone else was very keen to have an informal record of the day. Craig was highly recommended and his style really suited our ideas.
Craig was enormously charming and discreet in the way he captured each special moment, entirely without his presence being felt. You can see that in the photographs. Everyone was at ease and looking natural. His inspiration was to persuade Daisy into the meadow with husband Will and their lively children and capture such a special family moment. Totally charming, inspired, professional and hard working a delight in every way.
I know my mum cried the first time she saw the photos because they were so beautiful. Craig had set a selection to music and it bought the whole day back and we could not have been more happy with the result. He managed to capture everyone. The shots under the canopy were so warm and full of laughter. It made us want to do it all again!

Wedding Weekends at The Copse, which is where my family live, so we were super lucky that it is also licensed for weddings, sleeps 18 and caters for weddings lasting the whole weekend. This was exactly what we wanted.

Words of wisdom: share your best piece of advice for other couples:
Don’t wait, do get married and spend as much as you can possibly afford to have a day to remember for you and all those who mean the most to you.
Do it your way and don’t be pushed to spend more than you need, so that you have anything to regret. Get help from everyone and if you can, take a whole weekend so it does not rush by in a flash.
What’s the best thing about being married?
He has a wife and she has a husband and they both have an exciting future, together.
