Sweet and simple mother & daughter bridal editorial from Hitchin lavender fields

Published by Claire Gould on

I know so many of you will be making plans to include your little ones in your day, and we’ve seen so many lovely ideas for children at weddings over the last months on the blog. Today I have a visual treat for you: beautiful imagery from London wedding photographer Eva Tarnok, with the sweetest mother & daughter enjoying the vibrant colours of lavender fields in the evening sunshine.

A tip for all of you mums and dads out there: gather up your little ones on your wedding day, whisk them off for a special few moments to enjoy being a family together. You’ll have images to treasure for all of your lifetimes, I promise.

This gorgeous editorial was photographed at Hitchin Lavender in Hertfordshire – a lavender farm where you can wander through the fields and pick your own lavender! It’s just beautiful. Images are by our lovely friend and wedding photographer Eva Tarnok photography, who is based in Wimbledon.

Stylist Katie from the fabulous Bride and Beau set up a sweet picnic setting for our lovely mum & daughter team, with scatter cushions and a wicker hamper – it’s just dreamy and perfect, and brings to mind long summer evenings (because we all need to feel a little sunshine in our lives just now, right?)

The dresses are from lovely Audrey Ashley Couture in London. They’re such a lovely match for the pretty, relaxed lavender field setting. Hair and makeup was done by Sophie Cooke at The Bridal Stylists. Sophie’s based in Berkshire and has been featured on the fabulous megablog Rock My Wedding.

The bouquet is an absolute highlight for me – combining soft purple blooms with foliage and whites, to complement the lavender field location but still giving the look of a classic bridal bouquet. It was beautifully created by Flowers by Eve, and tied with ribbons from lovely Pompom Blossom.

The handwritten calligraphy stationery was handwritten by me – you can find me at By Moon & Tide Calligraphy – do get in touch if you’d like bespoke stationery for your big day, and watch out for new wedding invitations being launched here on the English Wedding Blog early next year!

Our beautiful mother & daughter models are Amelie Ashley-Rowland and Grace Early.
