I’m a bit of an Instagram junkie, I admit. I also have weekends where I binge on Pinterest – once I start, I just can’t stop. If I was planning my own wedding I’d end up in some sort of ‘Pursue Pretty’ rehab. Is it just me?
I have been reading some of the interviews you’ve been sending in for wedding features – I’m so lucky to have such amazing girls and guys getting involved in the blog, and soooo many amazing weddings to share! – and I love how everyone finds their suppliers in different ways.
But did you know the English Wedding Blog is designed to matchmake you with amazing (local) suppliers?
Nicola told me “I read lots of blogs and did a lot of Pinteresting for inspiration, but Instagram was brilliant for finding local suppliers and seeing real life images of their work.”
On these pages you can find inspiration and suppliers – often in the same place. I love knowing that brides in Gloucestershire are using the menus at the top of the blog to find weddings close to home, reading through the supplier lists and recommendations from other couples, and getting in touch! So many local suppliers from all around the country have had their work featured on the English Wedding Blog, which makes it super easy for you to find them!
3 ways to find your dream suppliers on the English Wedding Blog
- Check our recommended suppliers
These guys have regular features on the blog – photographers share their real weddings and inspiration shoots, other suppliers share their designs and advice in regular articles. They’re all handpicked blog sponsors and wouldn’t be here if I didn’t love and admire what they do!
- Browse the English Wedding Blog Directory
The Directory is new and sparkly, and growing almost every day! It’s super easy to use: suppliers are listed by category and one click will take you through to their websites. Remember, most of the wedding suppliers featured will travel outside of their local area and the majority are nationwide. Never be shy to ask!
- Read all the Weddings Near You on the blog
See that link in the top menu? Click and you’ll see a list of counties and regions. Find your county and you’ll see all the real weddings published on the English Wedding Blog, starting with the most recent.
Every bride and groom interviewed on the blog is asked to share recommendations for suppliers including florists, cake designers, photographers, venues, stationery and entertainment. So with every local wedding you look at, there’ll be a list of suppliers who you can contact, with previous brides’ recommendations, and photos of what they do.
I put it to you then, that wedding blogs are more than pretty fluff: we’re here to help you find real life, flesh and blood wedding suppliers to make your dream day a reality.
