The English garden wedding theme is one – quite possibly the only one – which will always be on trend. We love the romance of our home-grown flowers, the greenery and scents of hazy summer days – and it’s a style which conjures up memories from childhood, days in the countryside and magical holidays close to home.
Greenery is a huge thing for 2017 – and we love it to bits. This shoot is full of gorgeous foliage and fabulous styling with softer accent colours and statement blooms. Stylist Lauradana from Wedding Creations combines those gorgeous greens with white and soft pinks to create a feminine wedding style I know you’ll love.
The overall look is perfect for 2017: the loveliest of fine art photography and delicate styling with a timeless English garden appeal. Do take a moment to discover more from the wonderfully talented Bowtie & Belle Photography:
The tablescape is stunning: the wooden table with cotton fabric runner by Kate Cullen holds the loveliest rose and delphinium centrepieces, brimming over with glorious leaves and perfectly matching the bouquet (all by the fabulous Pink Peony). Lauradana added hand-dyed napkins and cut glassware with elegant candlesticks for an elegant aesthetic.
Calligraphy place names, a table plan and stationery suite were created especially for the shoot by me at By Moon & Tide Calligraphy for Weddings. I used a watercolour wash to give the stationery a subtle rose hue, and wrote names in charcoal coloured ink for contrast.
I also wrote long table plan cards in calligraphy, which Lauradana then attached to a frame to complement the most beautiful embroidered monogram by Daisy Sheldon.
The wedding cake by Vanilla Pod Bakery is a showstopper: simple in white icing with a single flower adornment… we love! This beauty sits alongside the loveliest edible sweet treats by Gold Leaf Bakery – and the colours tie in beautifully with those stunning flowers.
The bride wears the most graceful, flowing and timeless wedding dress by Ivory & Co – teamed with such pretty accessories by Victoria Fergusson this is the prettiest summer bridal look. Hair and make up are by Charlotte Tillyer, and our stunning bride finished her look with a bespoke lace bolero by Sew Soiree.
