My weddings of the year – 1. Jess & Rich’s cool London wedding
I tried on loads of dresses as I had to wait a while for an appointment at the shop I was really keen on – when I tried it on, I was sold. My dress is by Charlie Brear (Haliton dress) and I accessorised with silver and deco style jewellery from various places, a headpiece from Not On The High Street, a fur stole from Annie’s vintage shop in Angel, London and green shoes from Dolce & Gabbana which a friend kindly picked up from Italy!
Rich wore a bespoke green suit from Cad and the Dandy and my bridesmaids picked their own dresses – I just asked for them to be different colours from a “peacock palette”
My bouquet was by Rebel Rebel – again from a peacock pallet of colours. We sourced table and venue flowers from New Covent Garden Flower Market – they were delivered the day before and we assembled them ourselves.
Making our own stationery was a massive labour of love – we sourced supplies from all over the place (stamps with our faces on, gold and green ink, art nouveau wrapping paper, split pins, kraft card…)
Images are by documentary wedding photographer Paul Rogers. Discover more from Paul’s stunning portfolio here:
Paul’s second photographer for Jess and Rich’s wedding was lovely London wedding photographer Joan Jellett, who you can find out more about here: http://joanjellett.com
