2017 brides get to surround themselves with the most lush flowers imaginable – and the trend for exciting, statement flora is growing in momentum. “Flora”? Like, Latin? Yes – because I mean everything that’s gorgeous and green in nature – bouquets and arrangements are so much more than bunches of flowers. Today’s inspiration showcases the most stunning blooms and tendrils of leaf and stem; succulents, ferns, varieties of everything like we’ve never seen before.
This inspiration is more than just flowers of course. It’s full of wedding ideas for the botanicals-loving bride: with stationery attuned to this key theme (by the fabulous Gooseberry Moon) and amazing styling by Nina Marika (whose name is just one of those you’ll find in our fabulous new supplier directory).
Bridal make up by lovely Aimee Chorley and divine hair by Daniel Gray make this one of the prettiest bridal shoots I’ve seen so far this year, and I really hope you love it too! Images are by the always-fabulous Tiree Dawson, and there’s a full supplier list for you below.
‘More Kew than Countryside, this girl does not forage- she seeks out nature’s chic-est adornments and weaves them into her look. Fresh, modern, clean.
The boldest greens of the horticultural world entwined in the loose wisps of a slightly undone chignon. She is a magpie for metals and sheen.
Dewey sun-kissed skin with highlights of gold and pearl provides the perfect canvas for the lustre of copper pigment swathed across the eyelids. The perfect contradiction of the natural and the luxe.
The Botanic and The Metallic.’
