Kimberley and Francesco’s wedding is wonderfully sophisticated with an Italian twist. I love it when grooms look a little different, and Francesco’s black suit and dickie bow are just wonderful!
Kimberley is so very beautiful – her lacy dress is gorgeous and the details of the day are really pretty and romantic – the soft pinks of the roses, the prettily styled wedding cake… this all adds up to a classic, feminine English wedding – and it’s lovely.
My wedding flowers were soft whites and pinks, mainly roses – they were arranged by Oops a Daisy in Cirencester. They were great as I wasn’t sure what I wanted but they sat with me and showed me the different flowers we could have and how they looked together.

How did you choose your photographer?
Jennifer had done Frank’s sister’s wedding a number of years earlier and we loved their photos – plus she made us feel so at ease she was the only photographer we saw
Were you pleased with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love a brilliant review!
Yes she made us feel so ease – as a couple we don’t often take a lot of photos so it was great to feel at ease and comfortable
Tell us about the moment you saw your wedding photos for the first time?
It was amazing!! They captured the whole day – they told a story and you could sense the feel for how the day went.

What’s your top tip for saving money?
Keep on top of how much everything is costing so you have a clear understanding for what you can afford
… and which elements of your wedding are you glad you spent more on?
The singing waiters after desserts and magician and accordion players during the reception drinks – these kept everyone entertained

Tell us about your accessories: jewellery, shoes and anything else!
My head piece and jewellery were all from John Richards at debenhams. I fell in love with my shoes – it was so difficult to find white so I got them online
And what did the groom wear?
Frank wore a black suit with grey waistcoats and black dickie bows – we wanted something slightly different to the traditional suits
Beautiful bridesmaids: what did your best girls wear?
My 2 adults wore grey dresses from house of Fraser – everyone was a bit sceptical about grey but it was a soft grey that was really pretty. My 3 flower girls wore white dresses to match mine and silver cardigains
Hair and make-up – did you DIY or hire a professional?
I did my own make up on the day as I enjoy doing make up and it kept me busy during the morning of the wedding. My hair was done by my hairdresser and friend I had worked in a hair and beauty salon previously so I trusted my her completely
General styling – did your venue need much decoration?
The four pillars has a beautiful window that overlook a beautiful lake but slightly conference looking so we had the room fully draped with ceiling drapes
Crafts and makes – tell us about any homemade elements of your wedding… did you enjoy them?
We made the order of service which took us a while – we didn’t make much as we had 196 to the day it was so much to do by oursleves
The wedding cake: what kind of cake did you choose and why?
I wanted a simple cake with a lace trim – we had a Victorian sponge which went down really well
Entertainment: any musical recommendations, surprises or treats?
We had accordion players during the drinks reception and singing waiters after the dessert who sang Italian songs
Words of wisdom: share your best piece of advice for other couples:
Enjoy very moment and try not to get too stressed – if you are organised it will be less stressful!
What’s the best thing about being married?
Living together as we didn’t before we were married – very traditional
