Agnieszka and Simon’s sophisticated and pretty wedding in Blandford, with Linus Moran Photography

A bouquet doesn’t have to be ‘just flowers’. The bouquets I love most are full of foliage, textures, berries… And a bouquet which is seasonal is the loveliest of all. In the colder months that means silvery leaves, delicate white berries, seedheads and a few choice blooms… Agnieszka’s is one of the loveliest autumn bouquets I’ve seen. And isn’t she a beautiful bride?

Today’s wedding also surprised me with the knowledge that the army has a motorbike display team, who ride vintage bikes and perform stunts at shows around the country! (Check out the bus!) – and while he didn’t bring his bike, groom Simon looks fab in true military style.

The flowers were of the favorite features of our wedding! When I first saw my wedding bouquet on the day I cried! Jennifer Poynter outdid herself! The flowers were definitely better that I could ever have imagined them to be!

How did you choose your photographer?

Searched for the best photographer in the area that could capture our day in the most natural way and we came across Linus who was exactly what we wanted.

Were you pleased with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love a brilliant review!

Absolutely thrilled!! Looking back on our wedding album it does feel like it tells a story of our big day.

Tell us about the moment you saw your wedding photos for the first time?

Linus came to our house personally with a little wooded box of goodies! It was packed with a selection of printed photos and wooden USB with all of our pictures in two formats – one to share and one to print. Photos went beyond our expectations!

Wedding venue:

Traditional church wedding in beautiful Dorset countryside with a reception at the Crown Hotel in Blandford Forum.

Wedding month:

October

Can you describe your wedding in fewer than 10 words?

English wedding with a hint of Polish traditions.

Your wedding style or theme:

Pink and gold colour scheme was the only theme.

Where did you find your suppliers? (Blogs, magazines, recommendations?)

Internet search, wedding fairs and recommendation from our venue.

What’s your top tip for saving money?

DIY stationery and decorations as well as wedding packages when venue is concern.

… and which elements of your wedding are you glad you spent more on?

Flowers, photographer and the dress.

Where did you buy or source your wedding stationery – or was making it a labour of love?

We ordered our stationery on optimalprint.com and added some pearls, lace, border and changed the provided envelopes to make it look more luxurious. We were really pleased with the outcome.

Did you fall in love with your wedding dress?

Definitely! I love it so much it is a permanent feature in our bedroom!

Wedding dress designer and bridal boutique:

Isobel’s Bridal in Poole.

Tell us about your accessories: jewellery, shoes and anything else!

Wedding veil was a catch for £97 ! Shoes were from Phase Eight together with matching clutch. Jewellery was bought in Poland. I have also made pins with pictures of mine and Simon grandparents that passed away so we could have them with us on the day.

And what did the groom wear?

British army uniform.

Beautiful bridesmaids: what did your best girls wear?

Beautiful pink and gold dresses from ASOS.

Hair and make-up – did you DIY or hire a professional?

We hired a professional hairdresser and make up artist.

Crafts and makes – tell us about any homemade elements of your wedding… did you enjoy them?

Made my own bunting (100 metres of it!! )
Added handmade touches to wedding stationery. Maid of honour collected and dried flower petals which we used for confetti. Signs made by Maid of honour. DIY photo booth which worked great! We have also had wedding pictures of our family members displayed on one of the tables. Our wedding favours were also handmade, my brother prepared all the CD’s with our favourite tracks and I have printed the covers.

The wedding cake: what kind of cake did you choose and why?

We chose to go for 3 of our favourite cakes chocolate carrot and vanilla. It was a 3 tier cake with a beautiful flowers detail on the from and a surprise Hulk figure at the back for Simon.

Entertainment: any musical recommendations, surprises or treats?

We would definitely reccommend searching for you musicians on the streets! We found our harpists busking in Bournemouth! We and our guests loved our caricaturist and Polish games in the evening. Our DIY photo booth was also a hit !
