How many of us, as little girls, dream of being a bride in a white dress and veil, and of being a ballerina on a stage? There’s a magic to both: a romance, a spirit of beautiful femininity – and it’s enchanting when both come together. Today’s styled shoot is from a wedding photographer whose other specialism is ballet photography. I hope you will love this as much as I do! The bouquet and dresses are sublime, just perfect for a romantic wedding day by the sea…

I specialise in dance and ballet photography and when not photographing ballerinas, my camera is focused on brides and wedding photography. I organised this styled bridal photoshoot to bring together a group of my friends, who are all running their own businesses and whose work I admire. I approached my favourite hotel in Jersey – the Atlantic Hotel – and they were delighted to participate, so all was set and ready to go.
This was my first styled photoshoot so I deliberately kept things simple, as I wanted to concentrate on creating fresh, relaxed yet polished images… I chose to have two female models (one is my daughter!) to capture modern photographs with a bit of twist and interest…
Besides showcasing our work, creativity and style we also wanted to highlight Jersey as the perfect location for a destination wedding. The wedding industry in Jersey is bursting with helpful and experienced suppliers ready to cater to all requirements and creative ideas. We have worked with brides and grooms from as far afield as New Zealand, Dubai, Singapore and Sweden.
I am absolutely thrilled to be featured on the English Wedding Blog and hope you will enjoy my photographs.
Our venue was the Atlantic Hotel in Jersey, a luxury hotel on one of the Channel Islands’ most stunning sites with dramatic views of St Ouen’s Bay. www.theatlantichotel.com
