Their enchanting images are by Bristol wedding photographer Martin Dabek, who told me “the spirit of the wedding was great. I always like DIY weddings and this one was no exception. Great party and lovely couple. The venue was in a lovely and very secluded woodland location.”

Nicola’s dress is from Ghost – she looks incredible and I really love her relaxed and effortlessly elegant style. The flowers are from a Bristol wholesale flower market, with some grown by Peter’s mother, and they made the beautiful arrangements together. The venue was decorated with lots of greenery from the couple’s garden, bunting borrowed from and made by friends… and an amazing disco ball which looks fantastic in the woodland setting!
Nicola told me there are too many craft ideas and projects to list, so today it’s up to you lovely readers to spot all the wonderful DIY details in the images of the day. One which can’t go unmentioned is the gorgeous wedding cake, made by Nicola’s mum!
