Lovely John Mottershaw is lucky enough to live in the beautiful Peak District national park, one of England’s most breathtaking landscapes. I was born there; it’s a place close to my heart and one I’d love to explore more – so I’m happy to say we’ll be featuring some glorious Peak District weddings over the next few months, thanks to John and his gorgeous brides and grooms!
John Mottershaw Photography has a refreshingly informal approach compared with other wedding photographers:
“I believe the photography should be an enjoyable part of the wedding and I aim to make the actual taking of the photographs as special as I want the photographs themselves to be. This is important to me in creating story-telling that is a treasured souvenir of your wonderful day.”
From his base in the Peak District, close to Chesterfield and Sheffield, John enjoys travelling to weddings all around the UK. He told me his is a family business: there has been a wedding photographer in the Mottershaw family for many decades and their love of photography dates back as far as 1870!
