In May I spent the loveliest birthday week down in Cornwall with my man. We walked the coastline, dined at Outlaws, explored magical villages and breathtaking landscapes… and I fell in love with Cornwall. But oh, it is such a long way from my part of the world!!

I would be thrilled to feature more Cornish weddings on the blog, so do get in touch if you’re marrying in those parts! In the meantime, I have news which you’ll love if you’re tying the knot in Cornwall.
Boho brides, whimsical couples and lovers of the outdoors will know and love outdoor events company PapaKåta, who’ve featured many times on the English Wedding Blog. We love their tipis and gorgeous Sperry Tents. Rachael from PapaKåta has just been in touch to tell me all about Sperry Tents South West – a new venture making the luxury tents more widely available across the UK.
Couples in the South West, including Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset, now have the opportunity to hire Sperry Tents for weddings. Besides a range of tent sizes, Sperry Tents South West will also provide wood flooring, band stages and creative lighting options for tent interiors.
Sperry Tents South West Director Tim Francis knows couples are looking for something more than a traditional marquee: something more sophisticated which is a showpiece all on its own. “A Sperry Tent is just that, a thoughtfully conceived piece of fabric art with hand-crafted timber poles and nautical design cues that complements any landscape, and in particular the beautiful coastline and heritage of the South West.”
A Tent Like No Other
Crafted from genuine sailcloth, Sperry Tents are immediately recognizable for their graceful silhouettes, geometric reinforcement patches, solid wood support poles, nautical embellishments and signature flags atop each peak.
