It feels a little like summer… and it’s all because of these flowers gracing my screen this morning. I’m bowled over, totally in love with this day and our fabulous bride and groom on the blog this morning. Kate is gorgeous – her bouquet is out of this world and I adore the colours… I also spotted their super lovely table plan, and the portraits of the happy couple are beautifully done.
I LOVE the lavender theme – Kate told me a little more, namely that they wanted to keep things simple: “We did a little decoration, we used Reveries for our venue décor, we just wanted something very classy but low key. Wedding favours were homemade, little bags of lavender for the ladies and little bags of mints for the men.” But oh, it looks so magical!
Images are by Carl Glancey Photography, a wedding photographer in Surrey who I’m thrilled to be featuring for the first time on the English Wedding Blog. Discover more from Carl here:
“Katie and Alex made my assistant and myself incredibly welcome and were happy to photograph wherever I suggested. There was a great positive energy around the whole day which meant it was a joy to photograph.
“Denbies Wine Estate has a lot of outdoor space being a working vineyard so plenty of photo locations spread around the grounds. Access to the wine cellars is also another bonus. It’s a venue that gets your creative juices flowing, while the wine from the vineyard is flowing for the guests!” ~ Carl Glancey Photography

How did you choose your photographer?
Looking through many photographer’s websites via google until we found Carl.
Were you pleased with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love a brilliant review!
Yes Carl was fantastic from start to finish. From the moment we saw Carl’s photos we knew he was the photographer for us. We had a great pre-wed shoot in central London where Carl put us instantly at ease. On the wedding day itself Carl was fun and blended in perfectly with our guests and we got photos that we are over the moon with!
