Ever since I sourced some gorgeous rose gold sequinned fabric I have been dying for an opportunity to develop a styled shoot to use it. After meeting Tim Wiltshire, owner of Priors Tithe Barn in Brockworth I created a vision for a luxurious opulent feel in a romantic rustic setting, copper details and a statement flower wall. I love everything from design through to the final detail and found some amazing suppliers with an equally meticulous approach to help my vision become a reality.
Priors Tithe Barn in Brockworth is a stunning barn set in beautiful gardens and was the perfect location for the shoot epitomising both the rustic and grand elements of the style. I knew the beautiful combination of stone wooden beams contrasting with the rich textures, reflective sequins and colours of the style would be striking. The aim was to inspire couples that a sumptuous look can be achieved without being too formal.
Central to this design was the Flowers, Charlotte from Charlotte Elizabeth Bespoke Floristry worked closely with me to ensure the flowers she sourced would work with the designs and we collaborated on a feature cake backdrop of a live flowers that organically grew into a paper flower wall. We echoed the shape of the stunning architecture of the church styled door.
Charlotte recreated my vision following designs carefully, she recommended and selected the best flowers and meticulously produced the arrangements adding her own flare and working with the props that I had provided. I finally got to use my sequin fabric dressing the chairs and tables, which were provided by Windsor Marquees. Charlotte and I dressed each table differently creating a less formal feel, which is becoming a more popular request in recent times. Chair sashes were different colours from the same muted pinks and blush pallet, one table had statement floral garland, the other used a variety of vessels of different sizes and heights and large candles.
Karen from Cakes by KIT understood the style instantly and developed a cake design; drawing from the inspiration from the rest of the styling she created a stunning cake with close attention to detail. Placed on the vintage chest of drawers in front of the flower wall it became a feature, even being used as a prop during the shoot!
Whilst dressing the venue is the backdrop to your wedding every bride wants to make sure their wedding dress is perfect. I coordinated with both Charlotte from Lauren Charlotte Bridal and Sheryl from Oobaloos Photography to select the perfect dress and after longingly looking at all the different style bridal gowns in Charlotte’s lovely boutique we chose ‘the one’ by White One of Barcelona and a veil to compliment. Our model Kristi Flower looked amazing in it and with its gorgeous lace sleeves and neckline it was perfect for the style. Amy Jayne Hickey and Alice from Ella Hair styled Kristi’s makeup and hair creating a flawless classic look, which echoed the beautiful lace wedding dress, they ensured throughout the shoot her look remained perfect. The look was enhanced by beautiful bespoke jewellery by Sarie Joynes
Rare Event, Media & Marketing filmed behinds the scenes footage of venue dressing, floristry and bridal preparations whilst also interviewing the suppliers, they captured Kristi Flower and Sheryl from Oobaloos photography in action. Sheryl is an English Wedding Blog favourite – she’s had two real weddings featured in recent weeks, and we absolutely love her at English Wedding Blog HQ!
