Wedding cake designed by Amy Swann
You know when nature creeps into the cracks of a wall on an old industrial site…? I love that. Life prevails. Beauty wins, and today we show a transformation which will turn your wedding venue world on its head. You really can be married anywhere. I almost wonder if an abandoned warehouse space could become a more beautiful location than a stately home? After all, we’ve kind of done village halls now…

Flowers by the fabulous Swallows & Damsons
The magic is in the contrast. An urban, industrial backdrop filled with handcrafted and botanical details: handwritten calligraphy, botanical illustration, a delicately crafted and stunning wedding cake. There are feather garlands to soften and add texture and hand cut paper flowers for a chic, modern DIY look. Dresses are by the one and only Claire Pettibone, styling is by Sheffield’s gorgeous Nina Marika, and the sublime images are courtesy of lovely Jess Petrie.

“An installation created by nature brings a unique and special magic woven throughout, we had hints of travel and family heirlooms to give a sense of timeless elegance.”
“The concept behind ‘conceptual elegance’ draws on our observations of the beauty of the natural world creeping into urban and industrial settings.” ~ Stylist Nina Marika
