Subtle colours and your own personal style are all you need to make your wedding perfectly, beautifully YOU – and today’s gorgeous bride and groom show us just how it’s done. Their day is elegant, with touches of glamour and timeless charm – and it’s as full of love and laughter as can be.
Styling is subtle and sophisticated: the flowers use green foliage and white ranunculus. “We decorated the tables ourselves with long vases with ranunculus and gold and ivory petals scattered around.”
I asked the happy couple what one piece of advice they’d give to readers of the English Wedding Blog: “Always look at your watch, as it makes the time go slower! Don’t get chatting to people for too long; you’re there to party too!”

Wedding photographer’s website:
How did you choose your photographer?
She was a recommendation from the bride’s mother, who had previously placed Camilla in an apprenticeship. With that, we booked an engagement shoot in order to meet her and see if we liked her style, which we did, obviously!
Were you pleased with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love a brilliant review!
From the moment we met her on our engagement shoot, Camilla could not have been any more accommodating. We explained that our preference was for reportage style photos and whilst she took our advice on board, she also made sure that we covered all styles, just in case we did actually like the photos. As a result, we had photos that we loved, which we may never have had were it not for her. On our wedding day, Camilla did a wonderful job, making sure that we had all of the photos that we wished for and blending into the background seamlessly. The attention to detail was noticeable as Camilla spent a lot of time ensuring that we had the best settings at the venue for our photos – all very creative. By bringing an additional photographer, she was able to capture the special simultaneous moments that individual photographers are unable to do (i.e. groom waiting at the altar and bride arriving at the ceremony). Thanks to Camilla, we are able to look back at our wedding photos with fond memories and could not have wished for a more warm and professional photographer. Thank you.
Tell us about the moment you saw your wedding photos for the first time?
Having been on a three week honeymoon, we arrived home to a wonderfully presented display box from CJH, containing a number of prints, a CD ROM and a USB stick with our wedding photos stored. It all looks very luxurious and we keep the box on display. The photos themselves told the story of our wedding day exactly how we remembered it and it was really nice being able to reminisce about our big day once again. That is something that we will be able to do for the rest of our lives. The details were magnificent and we were so pleased with how she was able to capture each special moment, without us even realising! It is safe to say that we are more than pleased with our photos and as a result have made many recommendations to friends and family for the service of CJH – a couple of whom have already subsequently made bookings.
