Weddings are the most wonderful of days; a tapestry of moments is woven together from the smiles, laughter and love of friends and family – and this is true no matter where you choose to marry. Rob and Michele chose a London city centre location for their day. They walked to the venue together (I’d love to see more couples doing this… I LOVE that nervous excitement can be shared!) and from that moment onwards the day is blissfully happy.

I loved photographing this city wedding in London: I always enjoy photographing the life, colours, grandeur and contrast of a city wedding. This wedding was so packed full of memorable moments, I loved that the grooms decided to walk to their venue together through the back streets of London to Westminster. It also allowed me to photograph their walk from a distance, as they shared some fun and intimate moments with the city as a backdrop.
As a photographer I really loved the venue: it was very grand and had so many opportunities for fabulous city chic images to be taken. It was just down the road from Big Ben which we had subtly in the background in some of our photographs. As for the venue itself, I loved the staircases, the amazing library, the circular balcony, and the huge fireplaces! Plus the wedding coordinator and toastmaster were fabulous, and did a great job at keeping everything on time, and keeping everyone smiling!
The couple said that they loved reliving their day through my images, and they had great fun being photographed on the day too. It was a wedding day full of culture, with guests travelling from across the world to be there, so there was lots of emotion to capture on the day. Photographing the ceremony was particularly emotional.
