Do you remember the moment one of you said yes? When suddenly you’d made that first step towards a lifetime together, and your heart was fit to burst with being so much in love? Stepping from being just a couple head over heels in love and enjoying every small adventure together, into planning a wedding can be… daunting. It’s so, so important to keep making amazing memories as you plan your wedding – and I think an engagement shoot is the perfect way to capture some of the romance and excitement of your pre-wedding months.

There are many, many reasons to have a photoshoot before your wedding. It’s a great way to get to know your photographer, relax in front of the camera, perhaps explore your venue or just have a fun day out.
I think most importantly an engagement shoot allows you to forget wedding planning and remember you’re young and in love. It takes the spreadsheets and guest lists out of your relationship for a few hours and lets you play, hold hands, walk and chat – just the two of you – for an afternoon of romance.
You’ll get some amazing images – as Charlotte and Andy’s beautiful engagement shoot proves. And you’ll look back on them one day, remembering those magical days before you were married. Today as you plan your wedding it might not seem such a big thing as the wedding day… but trust me, images like this can be the loveliest of all.
