It’s almost Easter… I hope you have the most wonderful long weekend planned. We’re heading into the hills tomorrow, and then on a little road trip to see friends on Sunday, chocolate eggs clutched in our excited little hands! But before we go… I’ve been saving this loveliness for you. Gorgeous Rebecca & Adam’s wedding had an Easter flavour to it… they styled their day with pretty colours and the loveliest gold leafed eggs as place settings. It was the prettiest Easter wedding I’ve seen! Here’s how you can create a similar look for your day.

For a light and airy look to your day, choose a blank canvas venue, marquee or Sperry tent. Light wood tables and linen or hessian runners add a little home comfort – and the star of the show can be personalised egg cups with decorated eggs!
Flowers for your Easter wedding don’t have to cost the earth: look for seasonal blooms such as tulips and roses, and add lisianthus, grape hyacinth and anemones to complete the look. Glass vases or even jars are the perfect low-cost containers, and candles add a little warmth to table centres, taking the Easter wedding look from day into evening.
The scene-stealer here is eggs. Rebecca and her sisters and friends blew out the centres of 150 eggs then dyed them different colours and rolled them in gold leaf. She told me “it was hard work but definitely worth it.” They make lovely favours and place settings, and are a gorgeous addition to the buttercream wedding cake and placed by the guest book frame too!
