My calligraphy workshop film – a peek inside the classroom and an invitation to join us! With Paul Kyte Wedding Photography

Modern calligraphy workshops – information & online booking

So on Friday I was back in Manchester for the first calligraphy workshop of the year, and my lovely friend Paul from joined us and filmed a part of the day. I’m thrilled with this little film which shows just what happens on our workshops – and I wanted to share it with you! If you’re interested in learning a little lettering and calligraphy for your wedding day, join me  in Manchester at one of my spring classes: dates are below the film.

27th May: modern calligraphy – full details & online booking here

Friday’s calligraphy workshop was filmed by Paul Kyte Wedding Photography for the blog. Paul is a Cheshire photographer whose style I love – we featured James & Sarah’s gorgeous sunflower wedding on the blog back in December. He’s also a friendly, charming guy and was a pleasure to have around on Friday! Paul – thank you!

It’s a cliché but when I saw the film for the first time I really was surprised by some of the shots Paul had captured for us: half of the time I didn’t know he was there – and in a small classroom that’s an achievement! Perhaps because the workshop was in full flow, I was talking to everyone and demonstrating and the time just flies… and perhaps because Paul is exceptionally good at what he does! If you’re looking for a wedding photographer who offers that little bit more, you really should check out Paul’s websites here:

Paul says, “Even though I wasn’t actually taking part in the class I was struck by the welcoming, warm atmosphere of the workshop and in no time at all the participants were busy learning their craft while chatting, laughing and listening to Claire’s tuition which was delivered with a friendly smile and easy going nature. I really hope that my film captures the fun of the session as well as demonstrating how the class is set up.

To find out more about the workshops visit and if you know of any other workshops or wedding vendors who should feature on please let me know, send an email with their details along with a small note to say why you would recommend them to:

Huge thanks as well to everyone who came to the workshop – it was so lovely to meet you all and especially to put faces to names I’ve known for so long through the English Wedding Blog. I think it shows in the film how much I enjoyed the workshop! Claire
