Inspired by the wonderful array of seasonal British blooms on offer, we aim to showcase how beautiful our British flowers can be by creating a stunning bridal shoot in a fabulous location on North London’s Hampstead Heath.
All flowers used in the shoot were grown and arranged by Emma Sousa Flowers, bridal wear is by upcoming designer Sienna Von Hildermar, hair & makeup by Laura Anne and photography by Surrey based Emma Davies. Dresses are modelled by Amber Tutton.
The shoot evokes a romantic theme set in a stunning location with its beautiful architecture and stunning landscape. Seasonal flowers are styled in a natural, romantic style, with a subtle colour palette of whites and creams, burnt oranges, deep reds and subtle pinks and caramels which have a natural movement and flow to the designs.
We used fabulous dahlias, hydrangeas mixed with snowberries and mixed foliages including romantic trailing amaranthus and gorgeous berried eucalyptus, which set against the backdrop of the twisted vines of the spent wisteria work beautifully to enhance them.
The reflections in the water with floating flowers add to the magical feel of the setting showcasing the simplicity of the bridalwear, which is wearable and accessible to all brides.
Hair & makeup by Laura Anne Hair & Makeup was a polished yet simple theme to really allow the flowers to shine through and show off the head pieces to their best. She teamed a fresh, glowy skin with a pop of smoke at the edge of Amber’s eyes for definition using earthy purple tones and a hint of green eyeliner.
The hair was smooth and silky to add contrast to the wilder look of the flowers. Everything was shot beautifully by the very talented Emma Davies who captured the look to perfection. We hope you love the shoot as much as we do, and I hope that it shows off beautiful British seasonal flowers to their best.
