A late catchup for a Monday morning!

We have been lucky to avoid the Cumbria floods this weekend – and my heart goes out to all of those who are struggling to save their homes, belongings and livelihoods from the flood waters.

I haven’t blogged yet this morning – although I have a beautiful wedding to share with you later – as I’ve only just made it home from Manchester, a day later than planned. Our route home was blocked yesterday; roads are closed all over the Lake District and Cumbria.

We have driven past flooded homes, submerged fields and roads and seen a hint of the devastation flooding can bring this morning. While I get my blogging hat back on and prepare to get the English Wedding Blog back up and running, please consider joining me in donating to the flood appeal:

This is very close to home for me; having been stranded and then made it past some of the floods this morning, I know every donation will be so very gratefully received. Thank you… and I will be back soon!
