Saturdays are for road trips, explores, adventuring and discoveries – and so I invite you to join me once again to visit (virtually!) another fabulous English wedding venue: Studley Castle, in Warwickshire.

Rob and Sarah Gillespie – my lovely friends and blog supporters – have photographed weddings at Studley Castle before, and know it well. They shot Lori and Tom’s stunning castle wedding there this summer – images used in today’s feature are from this beautiful wedding.
“Studley Castle is a 19th century ‘country house’ which has been used for several purposes since being built, but has been a hotel and wedding venue for quite a few years now. Photographically there is much to take advantage of within the building itself and in the surrounding grounds.” ~ Rob & Sarah Gillespie
“Our venue, Studley Castle, was beautiful and ornate already, and already had a vintage theme, with plenty of gilded picture frames, a ceiling with stars, and chandeliers! The flowers did most of the work to be honest, however we did add some personal touches with our centre pieces: gold picture frames with text and photos about places that are special to us as a couple.” ~ beautiful Studley Castle bride Lori
“The Studley Castle grounds are quite large and varied with many areas allowed to grow naturally rather than being perfectly manicured. From our perspective this makes for a much more interesting environment in which to make pictures – the long grasses and multitude of wild flowers looked really beautiful in places. During this wedding we used some areas of the grounds we’d never considered in the past and we really happy with the results we got.” ~ Rob & Sarah Gillespie
