Cinderella is a folk heroine, a character from all of our childhoods and a girl who has inner beauty and strength. She’s no pushover: she is a hard worker, life has made her strong and her future is one of love and happiness. We love Cinders not for her perfect facade but for her story: the rags-to-riches heroine who is kind, unbreakable and whose beauty shines from the inside. Her outer beauty… well, if you ask me that’s called karma. And I reckon there’s a little bit of Cinderella in every bride because we all have that inner strength, don’t we?
Today’s bridal ideas shoot is a romantic take on the story of Cinderella. Hampshire photographer Jennifer Sinclair explains how the bridal ideas shoot came about:
“The Folly at Highfield Park made the perfect location for the cinders styled shoot. Jemimah modelled for ‘rags Ella’ and was perfect to portray a youthful, hard working Cinderella with inner beauty and strength. I love the softness to the photographs that show Cinderella’s kindness. With a little magic of the fairy god mother’s magic wand, she hoped the dream that she wished would come true…
“With a little help from her mice friends, Cinderella’s beauty and elegance comes to life wearing the perfect pink dress from Madeline Isaac-James in Hartney Witney. The shoes and the clock were brought into the shoot as significant parts of the Cinderella story. The entrance to Highfield Park made a stunning location for Cinderella going to the ball and I love the photographs of Siian twirling around.
The Cinderella wedding dresses by Madeline Isaac-James were stunning; Jemimah a beautiful and playful Cinderella and Sian an elegant, timeless Cinderella.
